Chartwell Green: How to Find the Right Paint

Chartwell Green is quickly becoming one of the most popular choices for exterior surfaces. It is a pale, fresh shade of green that makes a nice alternative to white that’s a bolder choice, but still subtle enough to look clean and elegant. A cool-toned yet inviting shade, Chartwell Green is an ideal exterior paint for front doors, garage doors, windows, garden furniture, masonry and more.

What RAL colour is Chartwell Green, and who makes Chartwell Green paint?

Since Chartwell Green does not have a RAL code, it can be tricky to find the perfect shade as many variations exist. A close match is RAL 6019 Pastel Green, and visit our shades of green for more alternatives. Remember to check the colour before carrying out any works, and that the final colour won’t be apparent until your project is fully dry.

Chartwell Green Garage Door Paint

An increasingly popular choice for garage doors, Rust-oleum Combicolour Original in Chartwell Green can reinvigorate tired and scuffed old garage doors while being much more cost effective and efficient than replacement. If your door is steel or previously painted, dry, prepared and in sound condition then the paint will act as a primer and metal topcoat in one, allowing you to paint the door directly. If the door is aluminium, Rust-Oleum 3202 Galvinoleum Primer will also be required.

Chartwell Green uPVC and Composite Doors

For uPVC and composite doors, windows and conservatories, Chartwell Green is a great choice for many different buildings as it can look traditional on cottages yet can still give modern buildings a daring dash of colour, complimenting many types of masonry while updating old and tired white uPVC. Transforming your doors and windows is made easy with Kolorbond uPVC Painting Kits, which come complete with their required cleaners, cloths and application brush. These all-in-one kits are available in 4 sizes to cover up to 25m², enough to paint, externally, the windows and doors of an average detached house, or the external window frames, doors and fascia, guttering etc. of a terraced house. Still not sure? See our full guide on painting uPVC here.

Chartwell Green Garden Furniture Paint

Chartwell Green supposedly got its name when Winston Churchill had his garden furniture at Chartwell House painted in the colour, so why not do the same? Rust-oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface is ideal for outdoor furniture, whether it be wood or metal chairs, tables, picnic tables etc., as well as other outdoor surfaces such as fences and railings. It can be applied directly to your furniture without primer to create the perfect space for summer barbeques with friends, beer gardens, cafés and more. It’s also ideal for uPVC, MDF, masonry, tiles, most plastics, and old concrete!

Chartwell Green Masonry Paint

Chartwell Green can look just as good on masonry as it can against it, and is perfect for homes as well as pubs, restaurants, cafés, bakeries and many more.  Give your home or business a neat, clean and refreshing look with Wethertex PP77 All Weather Pliolite Masonry Paint – a premium, matt finish, solvent-borne coating formulated using Pliolite technology which is highly water resistant and durable for up to 15 years. Available in smooth or textured matt finishes to suit any building and mask imperfections while protecting your masonry in any weather for years to come.

Cladding Paint

First impressions are key, and customers are much more likely to enter a business with a neat, clean and stylish exterior than one with old, run-down cladding. It may be tempting to install new cladding in Chartwell Green to increase footfall, but refurbishment and renovating your existing cladding is much more cost-effective and less disruptive than full-scale replacement.

Rust-Oleum Mathys Metal Cladding Topcoat can extend the lifetime of your cladding by up to 10 years as part of its new formula, as well as improved flow, finish and hiding power. It is very quick-drying, reducing inconvenience and impact on trade, while also preventing further rust damage to metal cladding, which will affect appearance and cost much more to correct in future.

For wooden cladding, you can instead use Wethertex OT25 Wood-Flex Satin Opaque Timber Paint for a quick drying, high quality, opaque satin finish. It incorporates Optilife Silicone Technology to give you total weather protection for up to 12 years.

Ensure your business stands out against the rest, the easy way.

Kitchen Cupboard Paint

Pastel green shades isn’t just good for outdoors, it can work great on interiors too! Rust-Oleum Matt Chalky Kitchen Cupboard Paint leaves an ultra-durable, scrubbable, water resistant, flat matt finish that suits everything from country kitchens to quaint cafés with its shabby chic, vintage feel. The product is designed with convenience in mind at every step, requiring no primer or topcoat, so you can transform your kitchen within a single weekend. It’s not available in Chartwell Green, but with 110 colours to choose from – including Laurel Green and Coastal Blue – you’re bound to find your perfect match.

Floor Paint

Have a concrete, wooden, or pre-painted floor that needs updating? Whether its for your home, café, workshop or garage, exterior or interior, Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU in Chartwell Green can be applied directly onto floors and has added polyurethane for added durability. It is resistant, during short contact periods, against lubricating oils, fuel, petrol etc., making it ideal for parking garages and servicing garages. Apply to the entire floor for a simple and fresh look or use as a line marking paint to create an easy-to-see contrast on dark flooring. You can also match your newly transformed Chartwell Green garden furniture, windows and doors, or masonry to your patio. Not sure how to paint patios? See our full guide here.

  1. Where can you find the Light Reflective Value of your colours?

    • Hi Karen,

Many thanks for taking the time to read our blog and for your question. Unfortunately at present we don’t have the Light Reflective Value information available to view on our site, however, we are working on this to provide the most complete information possible and we hope to have the LRV info available later this year.

I hope this helps and please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions.

      Many thanks
      Stuart
