Because of the nature of our products we only use specialist couriers for all our deliveries despatched from our warehouse. Not all of our products and services live under the same roof, so there may be some slight differences in the way we can safely deliver your order to you.
Paints cannot be delivered by Royal Mail as the transportation of any dangerous goods including without limitation any dangerous good as listed in the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Goods (ADR) 2009 (‘Dangerous Goods’) requires specialist handling as the incorrect handling of Dangerous Goods may cause harm.
Our chosen couriers recognise the importance of ensuring that appropriate Health and Safety measures are put in place to regularly assess and monitor potential risks for the benefit of amongst others their employees, customers and the general public.

Since Brexit on 1 January 2021 there have been new customs arrangements in place on certain deliveries to Northern Ireland to reflect the special status and requirements of Northern Ireland.
We will continue to charge all our customers (business and private) VAT on our invoices.
Parcels and packages of any value delivered to private individuals in Northern Ireland do not require a customs declaration.
Parcels and packages of a value not exceeding £135 delivered to businesses in Northern Ireland also do not require a customs declaration in Northern Ireland.
However, if the value is £135 or over, the current guidance from the UK Government is that Northern Ireland businesses will be responsible for submitting a customs declaration or have the declaration submitted on their behalf. Northern Ireland businesses can use the free Trader Support Service (TSS) to do so. Northern Ireland businesses should also register for an Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) Number. The above will include deliveries to businesses in any format - packages, pallets etc.
Currently the customs arrangements which have been in place since 1 January 2021 for goods moving from Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) to Northern Ireland have been extended for as long as discussions between the UK and the EU on the operation of the Northern Ireland Protocol (NIP) are ongoing. In June 2022, the UK Government set out its "Solution" to the range of issues caused by the NIP since Brexit and has introduced legislation to resolve these issues. Discussions with the EU are still ongoing but please note that these arrangements may change depending on the UK legislation and/or the outcome of these discussions.

Delivered Direct From Our Supplier
Some items may be delivered direct from our supplier depending on current stock availability to try and ensure you receive your delivery within your chosen delivery timescale. Our manufacturers, like us, use specially selected carriers to ensure safe and prompt delivery to you but are currently not able to be tracked. There may be occasions where we are unable to meet the requested delivery timescale and if this is the case you will be informed by phone or email. Our direct products are delivered within the costs and timescales of our delivery terms above except where stated differently as below. Certain products and delivery areas may be excluded.

Deliveries will need to be signed for at the point of delivery (Covid-19 dependent) unless you have left delivery instructions on your order to leave in a safe place.

Deliveries are made Monday-Friday between 8am – 6.00pm unless a Saturday delivery or timed delivery is explicitly requested. There are no deliveries on Sunday or Bank/Public holidays and orders received after the cut off times stated above will be despatched the following working day.
On occasions where delivery cannot be made, (i.e. you are not present at point of delivery), delivery will be attempted a maximum of 3 times without any extra costs being incurred. You will also receive updates by text which can be used to re-arrange delivery if required.
All carriage prices are quoted without V.A.T. at the current rate.
We currently DO NOT export. This includes customers wanting to arrange collection of goods to be exported by their own transport.
There may be an exception for heavy goods when purchased in quantity where we will contact you to advise any additional charges.
Next Day delivery and Saturday Service is available on stocked items for orders received before 2:00pm only (unless stated otherwise – product/manufacturer specific).
When will I receive confirmation of my order?
You will receive email confirmation of your order once it has been placed with a copy of your invoice attached. Once a consignment number has been allocated you will receive despatch confirmation by email.
Can I order my delivery to go to site or another address?
Yes, there is an opportunity for you to enter the delivery address details on the address page of the Checkout. Or, if you are registered with us, you can add in additional addresses in 'My Account'.
Any time or date named by Rawlins Paints for delivery is given and intended as an estimate only and Rawlins Paints shall not be liable to make good any damage or loss whether arising directly or indirectly out of a delay in delivery. Deliveries are made using a reliable nationwide carrier. Although the majority of consignments arrive on time, we recommend that no labour, access equipment, hired tools, etc. is employed/purchased to undertake work until the correct materials have arrived on site in useable condition.
