Need Help?

Dear Rawlins. I would appreciate some advice re fire proofing. We are converting Our grainstore into a beautiful building (see Instagram "the grainstore Lewes") . There is a wooden mezzanine through the centre. We have left the underside of the mezzanine exposed and painted white (emulsion). Building Control has requested for it to be fireproofed. We would like not to have to re-paint with a fireproof paint. Do you have some sort of clear fireproofing glaze that we can spray or paint on? Any thoughts. With regards, Richard Waring

Thank you for your enquiry, in order to be able to advise we would firstly need to know what level of fire protection your building control require you to achieve?

Also, what is the exposed area requiring protection - i.e. beams, underside of floorboards, columns, etc?
