Dear Sirs I have been renovating a property in Suffolk. The ground floor is a retail premises in above this is a two story flat. As part of building regulations I have to treat the 4 doors opening onto the landing in the flat above the shop with the intumescent varnish. The doors are all stripped pine although 2 of them have had Danish oil applied to them. What I would like to know is if you have a varnish suitable. if so how much I would need and the likely cost. Also how I go about getting paperwork to satisfy building control that it’s all been done. I look forward to hearing from you kind regards Andrew Beale
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately oiled timber is not suitable to have a fire protection coating applied to.
