Hello, I own a flat in a block of 68 which is affected by the Cladding issues following the Grenfell Tower disaster. We are currently arranging contractors to replace the Cladding under an NHBC claim,however the NHBC claim does not cover the Timber decking or handrails of the balconies. We do have a cost for replacing these items with an Aluminium product which appears expensive (especially as we are already having the additional expense of increased insurance premiums). Is there a product that could be applied to the existing wood that would give the required EWS1 certificate? Would this require specialist application? Thank you
