Need Help?

We have a timber shed, the exterior walls painted with Cuprinol Garden Shades exterior paint. One wall of the shed is fairly close to a heating oil tank and we have been advised to paint that wall with a fire proof or retardant material. Ideally we would like to retain the Cuprinol colour, although that is not essential. Which of your products would you advise us to use for the best level of protection? Many thanks, Janet Guy.

Thank you for your enquiry, to be able to advise please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;

  • Size of surface area to paint
  • Timber thickness
  • Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
  • Type of timber (i.e. pine, mdf, plywood, etc.)
  • Type of Timber surface (i.e. T&G, feather edge / shiplap cladding, solid panels / sheets, etc.)
