Need Help?

Primer/sealer recommendations for mechanical garage flooring. It's concrete, previous coating Coo-Var, is all but non existent and apparently didn't last long. Bare concrete been exposed to varies oil and grease spills. Floor measures 280m² and will be done in 2 parts, due to time restrictions I would need something that would allow top coat to go down and dry before Monday 8am if I get to start on the Friday evening at 5pm. Then I would need floor paint recommendations for a very busy garage that has 5 work bays with cars, vans and 4x4s in and out every day. Can you please advise? Thank you

Thank you for your enquiry, we would suggest Bradite Rapid for both applications.

Bradite Rapid Floor Paint is a high performance single pack moisture cure polyurethane floor coating recommended for interior concrete, wood or steel floors requiring a tough, quick drying, hard wearing flexible floor coating with good chemical and excellent water resistance. Can be used with Bradite Low Slip Additives SA14 or SA12 to provide additional under foot traction.

Assuming a bare, clean, absorbent concrete surface, apply a 25% thinned priming coat, followed by 2 full coats undiluted. Touch dry in 2 hours, allow 8 hours between coats, ensure a minimum of 24 hours after final coat before allowing light traffic (full cure 7 days).

 Download the product data sheet from the 'Attachments' tab for full details on preparation, application, etc.

Based on 280m² you would require;

  • 85lt Bradite Rapid
  • 7lt Bradite TP33 Polyurethane Thinner

Bradite Low Slip Aggregates if interested.
