Advice for preparing and painting existing painted galvanized steel. We wish remove the existing gloss white paint without damaging the galvanizing which is in good condition and repaint as existing approximately 180 lin. m of steel railings. Thank you Bob Chambers

If you wish to remove the previously applied paint this can be done by sanding or using a paint stripper such as Rust-Oleum Nr.1 Green Paint Stripper.

Assuming the galvanised steel railings are now bare, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum 3202 Galvinoleum Primer followed by two coats of Rust-Oleum 7500 Alkythane

This can be mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a satin or gloss finish.
