Hi folks, I am in the process of replacing a wooden sluice gate with new treated timbers (most likely pressure treated pine) that are going to spend 99% of their life submerged in fresh water and wonder if you have a product that will provide protection to the timber? Many thanks, Charlie.
Assuming the timber is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend one coat of Teamac High Performance 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer followed by 2 to 3 coats of Teamac High Performance Polyurethane Topcoat.
The surface temperature must be above 10°C during application and curing.
If the sluice gates slide up and down in runners this may wear the paint prematurely.
