Hi. Working on a Sprinter van project. Need to cut some holes in the bodywork to install the equipment. Can you recommend suitable products to prep the surface and prime it before the final top coat. They are prone to rusting so need to make sure it is as rust-proof as possible. Also, got a few spots just surface rust on it, would it need different treatment? Thanks Kam
Assuming the cut and rusted areas are clean ,dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion followed by Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original.
All rust must be removed prior to application, we would recommend testing for compatibility and adhesion prior to overpainting with any other topcoat.
