I am looking at Zinsser Allcoat exterior paint. Which is best for a composit door, Allcoat solvent based or Allcoat water based?
Zinsser AllCoat Exterior (Water Based) can be applied directly to clean, dry, sound and prepared composite doors.
Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Solvent Based) can also, but Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Gloss (Solvent Based) would require priming first with Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3.
We would recommend the use of the waterbased product unless the temperatures at application are below 10°C.
