If i have a damp-mould on the ceiling and i want to paint ceiling on black do i need to use first seal damp paint and then black paint or i cant finsd somewhere black paint for damp -mould ? ..
We would recommend addressing the cause of the damp as anti mould paint may not deal with the issue.
Once the cause is corrected, assuming the plastered wall and ceiling are taken back to bare plaster, any mould is removed we can recommend Coo-Var Anti-Damp Paint.
This is designed as a primer coat and contains a reactive agent which will conbine with any remaining surface moisture.
This can then be over painted with a paint such as Zinsser Perma-White Interior.
This is available in many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a matt or satin finish.
