Need Help?

I’m a DIY enthusiast and disappointed with my garage floor which i painted 2020 using Johnstone garage floor paint and is now flaking where the tyres go. My car is always parked in the garage when I’m home. It’s about 1.5 times the size of single garage. I would like a more durable product that’s relatively easy to apply and would be grateful for your advice please.

To avoid issues with hot tyre pick up on painted garage floors we would recommend the use of an epoxy paint such as Rust-Oleum 5300 Epoxyshield Maxx.

For this application the floor will need to be clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet.

As the floor is previously painted we would recommend that the floor is prepared mechanically by grinding to remove the previously applied paint and prepare the surface.
