We have a home in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. The climate is similar to South Florida — hot and muggy 9 months. year. The floors are a yucky grayish, worn, stained tile. It is not like shiny 13” square builders quality ceramic tile — maybe cement? (I do have a photo.) I was researching Rustoleum HOME floor paint kit, finding only white, black and gray, and am not sure my arithmetic skills are good enough to calculate how many quart cans of both base coat and top coat would be needed to cover 1,000 sq. ft.. but probably more than their aduana (customs) would permit me to take into the country in my RV. What’s the story on your chalk paint for a floor like this? Just as good or better? Coverage? The colors are much nicer, for sure! I will appreciate any info or advice. Mexicans don’t seem to do DIY, and I won’t trust a painter I don’t know to take on this project. I plan to also do some stenciling on it.
Thank you for the enquiry, please can we ask for some more information and pictures of the floor to be sent to [email protected].
Please note that we can only ship to mainland UK addresses at this time.
