What is the difference between Keim Soldalit and Keim Soldalit ME, please? My property has been rendered above the dpc and I've been advised to use a mineral-based paint on the lines of bricks below the dpc. What would you advise, please?
Either product will be perfectly suitable for the surface being decorated as the Keim Soldalit and Soldalit ME will allow the trapped moisture when it reaches the DPC to diffuse through the vapour permeable paint system.
However, when applied the surface must be below a moisture content of 18% in order to allow the paint system to bind with the substrate.
KEIM Soldalit-ME is a variation of KEIM Soldalit which offers sustainable exterior protection for buildings with the additional environmental benefit that it helps to degrade nitrogen oxide pollutants from the atmosphere.
The reaction also helps to breakdown organic material and contaminants, keeping surfaces cleaner.
Meaning the ‘ME’ version has more air purification qualities as well being more mould resistant.
