Good afternoon. I'm planning on using Jotun Penguard HB as a primer on my boat hull which I've stripped back to bare grp. Please can you tell me if I would need an intermediate coating of anything before I apply antifouling? I heard from one source that the Jotun would need sealing which I find odd as the Jotun is being used as a sealer itself. I look forward to your reply. Thank you.
Assuming the GRP hull is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet, 3 to 4 heavy brush coats of Jotun Penguard HB have been applied, we can recommend Jotun Vinyguard Silvergrey 88 to be used as a tie coat prior to application of antifouling.
