Need Help?

Hello I have an old pressure tank that was used in a water supply system from a deep well. It is coated in paint from the manufacturer. Can I apply chlorinated rubber paint over that coating. The tank is now being used as a water feature. Water is pumped up through a pipe and it cascades down over the surface of the tank back into the reservoir of water. So it is going to stand in water all the time. It stands in the reservoir of water. I would appreciate your consideration on this matter. Thank you in advance. Ger Glynn

The chlorinated rubber could potentially react with the previous coating, but if it is compatible then something like Teamac Chlorvar Chlorinated Rubber Paint would be a good choice.

You would have to do a test area, if the previous coating has been on there a while, it will probably be ok.
