Need Help?

Hi I am looking for a high temp paint max temp 180°C average temp 120°C in a specific Real Colour Real 5017 traffic blue. This is for an aluminium engine inlet manifold. Do you have anything that would be suitable or could you recommend anything? Also is there any specific surface preparation that would be required? Thanks Greg

Colours are generally limited in the heat resistant paint range to basic colours such as grey, white, aluminium and black which are not produced usually to any specific RAL references. The highest temperature system we could offer would be OK up to 120°C maximum - this would consist of Sherwin-Williams Macropoxy M902 followed by Sherwin-Williams Acrolon C137V2 or Sherwin-Williams Acrolon C237 in the RAL colour of your choice.

We would suggest testing this system for your requirements before carrying out the whole project to ensure performance is satisfactory and adequate adhesion can be achieved to the aluminium.
