A product data sheet explains the makeup of the paint or coating and should give detailed advice on application, preparation, cleaning and safety (though the latter has its own designated sheet).

We always recommend all product data sheets are downloaded for the product(s) purchased, as direction should be offered on how to correctly apply what has been bought.

Further important information such as suggested thickness of coatings, estimated coverage, drying time, finish, packaging, performance, purpose, characteristics, environmental impact, tools and methods, should all be supplied by the manufacturer.
