Jotun Tankguard Special Ultra is a two component polyamine cured novolac epoxy coating specially designed as a tank coating with excellent chemical resistance. It can be used as a primer, mid coat or finish coat in atmospheric and immersed environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel and stainless steel substrates and can be applied down to +5°C surface temperature.

Jotun Tankguard Special Ultra is specially designed as an internal tank coating for chemical tanks. This coating has excellent resistance to a wide range of products with very little chemical absorption making it highly suitable for frequent changes of cargo. • Approved to UK Defence Standard 80-97 isue 5, annex G for resistance to Avtur F-34 FSI aviation fuel
• In compliance with Federal Drug Authority, USA, FDA Title 21, Part 175.300, approved for exposure to dry foods

Versatile novolac epoxy tank coating
Tankguard Special Ultra offers a tough and durable finish. It is a top of the range tank coating with the most extensive resistance list. Being a novolac epoxy, it has a higher degree of cross-linking and is therefore more flexible in carrying products at elevated temperatures. Tankguard Special Ultra gives good over-coating and cure times with a smooth surface after application. This again results in a tank surface which is easy to clean between cargos.

Tankguard TU is a two-component novolac epoxy coating with high resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents. It is designed for brush application and is the perfect solution for repair of small damages and stripe coating in combination with Tankguard Special Ultra.

BUYER NOTICE: Due to the complexities and risks within tank coatings, Jotun do not support the purchase of their Tankguard range through dealer/distributor channels. Jotun are happy to support with advice and documentation required for these types of coating projects but as they are removed from the end user the ability to control all risks involved with a coating project for a tank is limited. For these reasons, Jotun will only ensure the product quality within the can when Tankguard products are purchased via a distributor such as ourselves.
