Key Applications and Compatibility

Do not use pre-primers or rust conversion coatings before applying this product, as this may compromise adhesion and performance. Suitable for use with HMG-approved thinners and hardeners to achieve the desired finish.

Application Guidelines

This primer can be applied using a brush, conventional spray gun, pressure pot, or airless sprayer. For optimal results, mix the base and hardener in a 6:1 ratio. Stir thoroughly before application and filter the mixture to remove impurities. Apply one to two full coats, allowing a 15-minute flash-off time between coats. The recommended film thickness is 55 microns dry (achieved with a 100-micron wet coat).

Refer to the technical data sheet for specific equipment settings and drying times. Always ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying.

Limitations and Recommendations

Avoid application on surfaces not prepared according to HMG’s guidelines. Do not expose the primer to extreme conditions during drying. Use compatible HMG cleaning products to prepare substrates and remove contaminants effectively. For additional corrosion resistance, pair this primer with a compatible topcoat.
