The sample kit covers 0.625m². Please note the sample kit includes a 50:50 ratio of Colour 1 & Colour 2.

Sample Application Guide

Recommended Tools:

• Paint Roller Frame
• 4" Paint Roller Sleeves
• Paint Brushes
• Paint Scuttle (for the primer) 
• 5L Mixing Paddle
• Disposable Gloves 
• Protective Sheeting & Masking Tape

Preparation:

• Before applying our metallic coating ensure your test area is perfectly smooth, screeding if necessary
• Old paint finishes should be removed if flaking at all and if too smooth, then it should be abraded/sanded to create texture prior to applying the paint
• We also recommend you wipe the surface with white spirit as well as keying the area to ensure good adhesion

Before applying the coating, concrete must be:

• Dry - no wet areas
• Clean and dust free - contaminants removed
• Smooth but open  - surface etched
• Structurally sound - all cracks and damages repaired

Mixing and Application:

We advise when applying this product, the ambient temperature is at least 7°C ensuring there will be no precipitation in the area for a 12 hour period following application.

• Apply ChromeX Metallic Floor Paint basecoat to the surface using a roller, working your way out of the room before leaving 12-24 hours to fully cure
• After the primer has been applied, Metallic Mid Coat should be applied no longer than 24 hours after the primer has cured or is dry to touch
• Mix part A slowly but thoroughly and leave to stand 10min before slowly adding part B
• Carefully split the mixture in to the two pots
• Immediately add each of your pigments to the 2 mixtures & stir thoroughly*
  • *It is critical you use your product immediately due to its 20 minute pot life. After that time, the product will become unworkable
• Pour contents of each mixture decoratively on to your test area. You may wish to use a roller and squeegee to create your pattern
• Cure for 24 hours or when not tacky to touch

Please note: The pot life for this product is 20 minutes.

Limitations

• Please refer to the Product Data Sheet for all system components before use
• Roller sleeves should be used once per coat, two coats will require two roller sleeves
• Please note: Pearlescent colours change dependent on lighting conditions and interference
• This product should NOT be split. Taking smaller quantities from each tin, even if measured correctly, may cause issues with activating
• This product is NOT self-levelling
• Be advised: In some cases, white or light colour systems may experience minor discolouration
