Weber Weberfloor MVS

Weberfloor MVS is a water-based moisture vapour suppressant designed to address high levels of residual construction moisture. Its pre-mixed formulation allows for rapid drying, enabling faster floor installations without the need for priming. It is tinted to ensure full coverage during application.

Application

Weberfloor MVS is applied in two coats with a minimum thickness of 150μm. The first coat should be applied at 75μm using a short pile roller, and the second coat, applied at a 90° angle to the first, ensures full and even coverage. A wet film thickness gauge should be used to confirm proper thickness, and each coat should dry to a tack-free finish in approximately 30 minutes under standard site conditions. The product must be overcoated within 24 hours.

Substrate Preparation

Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free of any contaminants. It is crucial that the substrate has a pull-off strength of at least 1 MPa. For non-porous surfaces, a pull-off test should be conducted to verify suitability before applying weberfloor MVS. Substrates with moisture content above 95% RH should be dried further, or you may consider using weberfloor DPM if levels are below 98% RH.

Restrictions and Limitations

• Do not leave the product uncovered—must be overcoated with a suitable weberfloor smoothing compound.
• Not suitable for industrial environments or substrates without a structural damp-proof membrane.
• Always check humidity levels before application using a hood hygrometer.

Recommended Products

For optimal results, weberfloor MVS should be overcoated with Weberfloor smooth 4150 or Weberfloor 4160 within 24 hours of application. Both products provide excellent surface smoothing and are designed to bond seamlessly with weberfloor MVS.
