    Description

    Weber Webertec EP Pourable Grout

Webertec EP pourable grout is an advanced epoxy-based grout formulated for demanding industrial and structural applications. This grout features excellent flow characteristics, making it suitable for thin-section placement while maintaining durability and chemical resistance.

    Applications

    • Underplate and rail grouting for machinery and structural elements.
    • Fixing and securing crane rails, starter bars, and balustrades.
    • Ideal for use where precise alignment and high-strength bonding are essential.
    • Applicable in areas subject to chemical exposure, including acid tanks and solvent storage facilities.

    Performance and Strength

The grout provides exceptional compressive, tensile, and flexural strengths. Testing shows that at 20°C, compressive strength reaches 80 MPa within 7 days. It demonstrates negligible shrinkage and can be applied at temperatures ranging from 5°C to 35°C, ensuring reliable performance in various climates.

    • Compressive strength: up to 80 MPa after 7 days.
    • Flexural strength: 35 MPa after 7 days.
    • Compatible with dry and damp surfaces with strong adhesion capabilities.

    Chemical Resistance

Webertec EP pourable grout resists degradation from exposure to industrial chemicals, such as 20% caustic soda, sulphuric acid, and detergents. This makes it a trusted choice for environments where chemical spills are likely.

    Application Guidance

To achieve optimal results, surfaces should be properly prepared. Concrete surfaces should be roughened, and steel plates degreased and grit-blasted. The use of a hopper is recommended to aid grout flow and minimise air pockets during pouring.

    • Mix using a low-speed drill or forced-action mixer to avoid air entrapment.
    • Ensure mixing is uniform for complete component integration.
    • Protect freshly grouted surfaces from rain, direct sunlight, and frost for at least 24 hours.

    Limitations and Precautions

Do not apply the grout at temperatures below 5°C or above 35°C. It is essential to avoid contact with skin, as the hardener is alkaline and classified as corrosive. Always wear protective gear, including gloves and goggles, during application.

Ensure the grout is not used where flexible movement or expansion is required. For thicker sections (above 50 mm), adding pea gravel can improve performance without compromising flowability.

    Health and Safety

This product contains epoxy constituents and must be handled with care. Avoid inhalation and skin contact. Refer to the downloadable safety data sheet for comprehensive safety guidelines.

    • UN number: UN2735 for hardener; UN3082 for resin.
    • Follow all local disposal regulations for unused grout and packaging.
