Question about the product
Graeme langers on 2022-05-02 13:00:18 | Question:
What degree of prep is needed when applying another coat of top coat over a new floor painted approx 12 months ago with minimal traffic on it (client wants a freshen up before full hand over ) Festool sand existing top coat and re apply top coat ? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the previously applied coating is clean, dry and sound abrading the surface will be sufficient for the floor to receive a new coating of Sikafloor 264 N.
Brian Stelly on 2019-04-25 21:40:14 | Question:
What is your MFG's warranty for 264 system? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Sika can offer up to 5 years, however there are rules and procedures to follow in order for Sika to provide a material guarantee. If of interest you would need to contact our Technical Department on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or email [email protected] with the details of your project.
Nigel Bridger on 2019-03-29 15:28:53 | Question:
How soon can you apply Sika floor 264 onto a new concrete floor? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
The product data sheet (available to download from the attachments tab on the product page) states < 4 % pbw moisture content. Test method: Sika®-Tramex meter, CM-measurement or Oven-dry-method. No rising moisture according to ASTM (Polyethylene-sheet). The concrete substrate must be sound and of sufficient compressive strength (minimum 25 N/mm2) with a minimum pull off strength of 1.5 N/mm2. Concrete substrates must be prepared mechanically using abrasive blast cleaning or scarifying equipment to remove cement laitance and achieve an open textured surface.
