ColourPicker Explained

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

Description

Cromadex 290 One Pack Gloss Primer Finish is a one pack gloss primer finish suitable for both interior and exterior use. The product contains zinc phosphate giving added corrosion resistance for greater durability. Cromadex 290 is available in full Cromadex range of colours, including BS, RAL, and special matches all in a lead free finish.

Suitable Substrates and Preparation

Degreasing with Cromadex 678 Spirit Wipe is recommended and should be carried out after any abrasion of the surface.

Steel: Degrease and abrade with P180. If necessary blast clean to remove millscale, minimum surface preparation SA2.

Aged Coatings: Loose or flaking coatings should be removed back to a firm edge. Dry sand using P240-P320.
