Questions
Question about the product
Stuart phillips on 2023-10-13 19:01:01 | Question:
Can I use 50% fixitive mixed with 50% keim solidat As a binding coat on limewashed walls exterior |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Keim Soldalit doesn't require dilution. Assuming you have suitably prepared the substrate in accordance with the technical datasheet, apply one full coat of Keim Soldalit Fixativ, followed by 2 full coats of Keim Soldalit, with 12 hours between either coat, in your choice of colour.
Tessa on 2023-06-29 14:13:26 | Question:
I m painting the exterior lime washed lime render of my house. I bought soldalit and Keim fixative as the base consolidating layer. Now I see there is actually a soldalit fixative and am worried that I should have used that instead. Fixative does say it’s for exterior and interior use, will it be ok on my render? I have opened it so it can’t be sent back but it’s not worth ruining he work if it’s the wrong choice |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Keim Fixativ is perfectly fine for previously limewashed surfaces as well as Keim Soldalit Fixativ. Just make sure to remove as much loose and flaking and limewash as possible.
vlad on 2019-12-13 09:58:58 | Question:
