My Dulux Easycare Washable Matt dark blue paint shows water streaks on the upper wall adjacent to shower cubicle screen. Is this Zinsser product likely to be better?

Unfortunately we do not have a product we can recommend for direct water contact around a shower. If the paint is not subject to direct water contact but you need something suitable for high humidity areas you could consider Zinsser Perma-White Interior . This can be mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS Colours in a matt or satin finish.

Can grease stains be wiped away?

This is a stain resistant paint that is scrub resistant also. Stains tested after 7 days cure; Mustard, Ketchup, Tea, Coffee – complete removal. Red wine- trace remains. ‘Permanent stains’ such as those from biro, felt pen, permanent marker may not be completely removed. So assuming it is grease from food this should work. We would recommend to test on a small area prior to full application.

Hi there, can Zinsser Allclean Scrubbable Interior Matt use in a commercial kitchen?

Assuming this is for application to previously painted internal walls or ceilings, they are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet it could be used in a commercial kitchen. Please note this is not certified food safe, but it is stain resistant and has class 1 Scrub resistance. We would recommend testing on a small area prior to full application for compatibility and adhesion.

HI We are considering using this paint for a child who needs scrubbable paint in his bedroom. Previous wipe clean paints that have 'rubbery' 'stretchy' type texture when on the wall have been peeled off by the child. Can you confirm that this paint is not peelable in that way? This provides a solid surface which has a scrubbability rating of Class 1 and has been tried and tested. The paint has a matt finish which when applied in accordance with our recommendations will provide a cleanable finish with stain resistance, that also resists dirt pick up. Applied at the correct coverage rate this will provide a smooth, sound finish.

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

Application Process

Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or any loose paint. Use Zinsser Universal Degreaser and Cleaner for the best results.
Priming: For bare plaster, seal first with Zinsser Gardz. Spot prime any repairs or stains with appropriate Zinsser primers such as B-I-N or Bulls Eye 1-2-3.
Painting: Stir thoroughly before use and apply with a synthetic brush, roller, or sprayer. Two coats are recommended for optimal coverage.
Drying Time: Touch dry in 1 hour and ready for a second coat in 2 hours. Full cure and maximum stain resistance are achieved in 5-7 days.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Zinsser AllClean Matt's stain-resistant properties make it easy to maintain. Most stains, such as dirt, ketchup, and coffee, can be removed with warm soapy water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners to protect the paint finish. For stubborn stains, like red wine, immediate cleaning is recommended to prevent lasting marks.
