Question about the product
J.m on 2024-09-10 05:53:49 | Question:
Could this product be used to seal off-gassing of creosote vapours in old railway sleepers ? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Thank you for your enquiry, we have replied directly to request more information following your call to the Technical team.
Alasdair McNicoll on 2023-02-27 15:37:49 | Question:
Would this product be suitable for preparing a 6mm plywood base prior to overlaying with self-levelling compound? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Unfortunately no, we would recommend checking the technical data sheet of the self leveling compound to be used for the manufacturers advice on what primer should be used prior to application if required.
Geoff Brown on 2022-07-25 18:11:34 | Question:
Can this product be painted once cured |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
As the Bonda Marine Wood Seal is typically used as a finish, it is not usually overcoated. It also creates a non-porous seal and would therefore need to be sanded very thoroughly to produce a key prior to applying a paint. The paint would also need to be tested on a small area to determine compatibility between itself and the Bonda Marine Wood Seal, observing for adhesion, drying and appearance.
