Wethertex PP1 Pre-Prep Primer - Top-Quality Ready-Mixed Flexible Primer

Designed to control suction and ensure a solid key for subsequent coatings. It is through-coloured, making it ideal for a range of substrates, including GRC, X71, bonded paint, dash, roughcast, and render. Its high polymer modification and water-repellent properties make it an excellent choice for both professional and consumer use.

Application Instructions

• Ensure all surfaces are sound, clean, dry, and free from any material that may impair adhesion.
• Scaffolding must be independently tied to allow for uninterrupted application.
• PP1 Pre-prep Primer is supplied ready to use; however, it may require re-mixing using a suitable paddle mixer to regain the correct consistency.
• When applying with a roller, fully submerge the roller in the primer to ensure even application without spreading too thinly.

Storage and Tool Cleaning

• Store in a dry place at temperatures above 5ºC. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
• All equipment must be cleaned with clean white spirit immediately after use. Do not empty waste material into drainage systems.

Important Information

Application and drying conditions are critical. Do not apply if any of the following conditions are likely to arise during or in the first 24 hours following application:

• Frost is forecast, or excessive wet conditions.
• Relative Humidity is above 95%.
• Temperatures below -5ºC or above +25ºC.
• If the elevation is in direct sunlight.
• If the substrate is hot (above 30ºC) or below +1ºC.

Protect the product from heavy rain, direct sun, or wind in the first 24 hours after application. Sheeting the façade or scaffold is advised to protect against these conditions. Failure to meet these parameters can result in polymer film damage, wash off, discolouration, and potential failure.

For optimal results, use Wethertex PP1 Pre-prep Primer in conjunction with MP44 Spray Wall Coating or AX1 Pliolite Thin Coat Render. These products are specifically designed to work together to provide superior performance and durability.
