Description
Rubio Monocoat FR Oil System, a fire-retardant system for parquet flooring that combines a pre-treatment with the fire-retardant Rubio Monocoat FR Base (purchased separately) and a finish with Rubio Monocoat FR Oil – which is the fire-retardant modified version of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C.
The system is not film-forming, does not contain any salts and has a limiting effect on smoke development.
Thanks to these unique characteristics, Rubio Monocoat FR Oil System is the first flame-retardant oil system in the world that can present a Bfl-s1 certification on oak (5 mm top layer).
Rubio Monocoat FR Oil System obtained a Cfl-s1 certificate with a 2.5 mm oak top layer. Statistics indicate that smoke considerably reduces the ability to rescue people; Rubio has strived to the utmost extent to limit smoke development. The system gets an s1-citation, which attests to a safer product.

This system requires one coat of the Rubio Monocoat FR Base at 25m² per litre, followed by one coat of the Rubio Monocoat FR Oil at 50m² per litre that is included in the kit. These should be applied to a clean, dry, sound and prepared substrate.
