Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint
This single-pack chlorinated rubber coating is designed to protect and redecorate swimming pools, providing a high-gloss, long-lasting finish. Available in a range of blue shades and white, it is suitable for application on prepared new concrete and previously painted chlorinated rubber surfaces.
Application and Compatibility
The product is designed for use on concrete surfaces and previously coated pools with compatible chlorinated rubber paint. For other surfaces, such as metal, use Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer prior to application. Always ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants before applying. A thinned initial coat of the paint is recommended to prime and seal porous surfaces, followed by two unthinned coats for optimal protection.
Drying and Curing Times
This swimming pool paint requires a minimum of 16 hours between coats and reaches full hardness in 7-14 days. It is critical to leave the pool empty for at least 14 days after the final coat to allow complete curing before filling it with water. High humidity and low temperatures may extend the drying times.
Limitations and Restrictions
This paint is not suitable for use over conventional paints due to potential compatibility issues. Testing is recommended on unknown substrates before full application to ensure adhesion and compatibility. The product must not be applied in conditions of high humidity or low temperatures as it will negatively impact performance. Ensure proper ventilation in confined spaces during application.
Recommended Products
For surfaces such as metal, it is advised to use the Teamac Metaclor Underwater Primer before applying this product. Additionally, ensure that the surface has been properly etched using Coo-Var Acid Etch for the best results.

I don’t want to re line as the liner is still fully functional but just doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing! I wondered if this product, or any of your other products would be suitable for application directly onto a pool liner? I have everything crossed! |
