Wethertex OT25 Wood-Flex Satin Opaque Timber Paint - Premium-Quality, Quick-Drying Paint
Provides an attractive opaque satin finish for all exterior timber. Leveraging advanced Optilife silicone technology, OT25 ensures high breathability, flexibility, and superior colour retention, offering long-lasting protection for up to 12 years.
Application Instructions
Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, loose or flaking material. For previously painted surfaces, rub down with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Bare substrates should be abraded to enhance adhesion. Special precautions should be taken for pre-1960’s paint surfaces due to potential lead content. Apply a suitable wood preservative on new or bare timber, and a primer on resinous timbers.
Stir the product thoroughly before use. Apply by brush, roller, or spray, ensuring good ventilation. Do not apply below 8ºC or when inclement weather is expected. Under normal conditions, the paint will dry in 1-2 hours, with additional coats after 3-4 hours. Apply liberally and avoid overspreading. Generally, 2 coats are recommended for optimal results.
Storage and Safety
Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures above 5ºC. Once opened, ensure the tin is sealed tightly and stored upright to prevent spills. Avoid storing in frost-prone areas. Clean all equipment with clean, cold water immediately after use. Dispose of any waste material responsibly.
Restrictions and Limitations
Do not apply Wethertex OT25 Wood-Flex Satin Opaque Timber Paint in conditions where the temperature is below 8ºC or above 25ºC. Avoid applying on hot substrates (above 30ºC) or when heavy rain or frost is forecast. Ensure the relative humidity is below 85% during application and drying. This product is restricted to professional or industrial use only.

Recommended Products
For best results, we recommend using a high-quality wood preservative on bare timber before applying Wethertex OT25. Additionally, a suitable wood primer is advised for resinous timbers.
Health and Safety
Wethertex OT25 Wood-Flex Satin Opaque Timber Paint contains a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2h-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2h-isothiazol-3-one, which may cause an allergic reaction. Always use protective gloves and safety glasses during application. Avoid inhalation of sanding dust and ensure good ventilation. Refer to the product's Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for comprehensive safety information.

No, unfortunately this paint is not designed to be used on an area subject to traffic. Due the exposure decking receives and that it is rarely possible to paint the underside we would not recommend painting decking. | |

No, assuming you are painting timber, it is clean, dry and sound, Zanders PF59 Stain Blocking Primer Finish should be applied prior to application. If Zinsser Allcoat Exterior is used bare timber should be primed with Zinsser Cover Stain. | |
