Fosroc Nitocote EN901 is a solvent free, highly crosslinked, high build epoxy novolac based coating designed to provide protection to concrete and steel structures in aggressive chemical conditions.

Particularly suitable in wastewater treatment, desalination, food processing, electric power, chemical manufacturing, fertiliser and insecticide plants, petroleum refineries and pulp and paper mills

ColourPicker Explained

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

Colour reproduction of the Products on the Site is limited by the technology used to deliver web pages and by the colour representation of Customer’s own monitor and computer set-up. We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. We recommend that Customer first purchases the smallest Product available or access an industry standard colour chart in person (and not digitally) to ensure that the colour is acceptable for its purposes.

100% solids, solvent free
Exhibits excellent chemical resistance in pH levels ranging from 1-14 at 25°C
Excellent adhesion to properly prepared concrete, mild steel, and other substrates
Excellent abrasion resistance
May be used with or without Nitoflor FC Antislip Grains as a heavy-duty floor coating in applications such as chemical processing and drum storage areas, loading docks and ramps
May also be used in conjunction with glass fibre cloth to increase the thickness of the system or to reinforce structures subjected to aggressive chemicals

Application Notes

All concrete surfaces, which are to receive the coating, must be at least 28 days old or have a moisture content of less than 5%
Designed to be used without primer, however, if the concrete substrate is considered porous, Nitoprime 25 can be used
A maximum film thickness of 200 microns can be achieved on vertical surfaces per coat
Stiff nylon brush or short nap roller is recommended for such application
May be used in conjunction with glass fibre cloth to increase the thickness of the system or, where necessary, bridge fine cracks in the substrate, and can be used in conjunction with Nitoflor FC Anti-Slip Grains, fine or medium, to provide a heavy-duty slip-resistant flooring system
Should be removed from tools and equipment with Fosroc Solvent 102 immediately after use. Cured material can only be removed mechanically
Supplied in 4 litre packs - coverage 10m²/pack @ 400 microns

Limitations

Substrate, ambient and product temperature should remain above 5°C to aid application
Should not be applied on to surfaces known to, or likely to suffer from, rising dampness, potential osmosis problems or have a relative humidity greater than 75% as measured in accordance with BS 8203 Appendix A
Application should not be undertaken when the prevailing relative humidity exceeds 90%
May not be colour stable when in contact with some chemicals or direct sunlight. The colour change, due to sunlight, will not affect the performance of the protective system either on concrete or steel
At material and substrate temperatures of 5°C the viscosity of the product will increase to make application difficult
Must be cured for at least 7 days before facing long term chemical exposure
Batch to batch shade variation may be experienced
