Watco Bio-D is unusual since it attacks heavy oil and grease, yet it is a water based, biodegradable formulation. It has been specially formulated to remove grease and oil from previously painted or bare concrete where sensitivity to solvents from traditional degreasants may be a problem. Bio-D will remove oil and grease contamination without softening or bleaching the existing coating, unlike most solvent-based degreasers. This water based and virtually odourless degreaser is safe and easy to use in concentrate form for the removal of heavy contamination or diluted with water for light-medium dirt deposits.

Application
Floor preparation prior to painting:
Floors with heavy contamination – should be reasonably dry for Bio-D to be most effective. Brush in undiluted Watco Bio-D with a stiff broom, scrub and leave it for at least 15 minutes to allow it to penetrate and to lift the contamination out of the surface. Scrub the floor again with a stiff broom or a mechanical scrubber to loosen the dirt deposits. Rinse with clean, cold water preferably whilst continuing to scrub. If further applications are required, the floor should be reasonably dry before repeating the process.
Floors with light-medium contamination – as above but Bio-D may be diluted.
Floor maintenance - Bio-D can be diluted with up to 10 times water for cleaning existing painted or bare floor surfaces.
Limitations
Once Bio-D has been used to remove oil or grease it must not be allowed to enter sewers and should never be allowed to enter rainwater drains or open water courses. In such cases it should be removed from the floor by the use of a squeegee in conjunction with absorbent material (sawdust or sand) and disposed of as chemical waste.
