Coo-Var GP101 Graffiti & Flyposting Protection System
The 2-component graffiti and flyposting protection system is an ideal solution for safeguarding various surfaces from unwanted graffiti and flyposting. Available in both clear gloss and matt finishes, this coating preserves the original appearance of the surface while providing a robust barrier against vandalism. It is a reliable option for long-term protection in both public and private spaces.
Application Areas
This product can be applied to a variety of clean, prepared surfaces, including rough or smooth textures, non-porous brickwork, masonry, and signage. It is essential that the surface is free from dust, dirt, oil, and grease before application to ensure optimal adhesion and performance. For porous surfaces like sandstone, a preceding coat of Anti-Graffiti Sealer Coat is recommended.
Application Instructions
- Stir the product well before use and pour a manageable quantity into your roller tray or spray unit.
- Apply using a brush, roller, or spray, ensuring even coverage and adherence to recommended thicknesses.
- Allow a recoat interval of 4 to 6 hours, depending on ambient conditions.
- Ensure good ventilation during application, especially in confined spaces.
Do not use strong solvents or cleaning agents when removing graffiti or posters; mild detergents are sufficient.
Restrictions and Limitations
Do not apply the product on surfaces that are not clean or free from dust, dirt, or other contaminants. Avoid using it on surfaces where compatibility has not been tested, such as some painted surfaces and signage, without conducting a preliminary adhesion test. Always use the recommended cleaning agents for removing graffiti to avoid damaging the protective coating.
Recommended Products
For best results on porous surfaces, use the Anti-Graffiti Sealer Coat before applying this protection system.

Beth Morgan on 2023-01-11 14:05:25 | Question:
Hello, I am an artist who is going to be undertaking an outdoor mural on brick. I will be using water based masonry paint to create the mural and I am required to coat it with an anti-graffiti coating. I have been looking at Coo-Var GP101 Graffiti & Flyposting Protection System - I wanted to ask if this would be suitable to use over a painted mural, and if so, would an initial sealer coat be required or would I be able to use the Graffiti and Flyposting Protection alone? Many thanks in advance. Beth |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the previously painted wall is fully cured, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet this could be used. We would recommend a test for compatibility and adhesion is undertaken prior to full application. The Coo-Var Anti-Graffiti Sealer Coat is only required on porous substrates such as sandstone. | |
