Damp Proof Membranes

A crucial stage for new builds and refurbishment, where a structural DPM may be missing or damaged, or where residual construction moisture is present in the floor.

A liquid damp proof membrane, such as Ardex DPM 1 C, will protect the floorcovering installation from residual construction moisture and rising damp, where the highest measurable moisture readings are present (up to 98% RH). Its ability to adhere to damp concrete during low temperatures make it ideal for use on UK worksite conditions.

Where a structural DPM is in place, and residual construction moisture is present, a Moisture Vapour Suppressant can be applied to floors with moisture readings up to 95% RH, speeding up the installation of the floorcovering by allowing the early laying of an Ardex Levelling and Smoothing Compound in as little as 2 hours.
