Need Help?

Hello, I have a hard wood verandah with wooden slats for walking on and wooden handrails. It is south facing so gets the sun and is subject to very light traffic. It was previously covered with Dulux woodstain, some of which I have removed but most of it is still there. I want to apply an opaque covering (probably light grey), preferably easily paintable over with different paint in later years. It needs to look nice and not industrial to please my wife. I am perplexed by the variety of paint you have so need some guidance as to what is best for me needs. Can you help? Thanks, James

Assuming the wooden slats and handrails are clean, dry, sound, abraded and degreased with Rust-Oleum Thinner 160, we can recommend Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU for areas subject to foot traffic and Rust-Oleum 7500 Alkythane for the handrails.

These are available in many RAL and BS colours in a gloss finish.

If you require a non slip finish you can add Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 100.
