Hi. I have a domestic garage (31sqm) with a weak mixed screeded floor. This has then been painted with a Horrace & Williams (now Serene Paints) 1 pack paint straight onto the screed (mistake). Unfortunately the paint lifts easily particularly under a car tyre. Its been down 10 years now and needs tidying up. I have since sealed it with a PVA solution which helps the exposed screed from dusting, but ideally would like to simply paint over the existing floor but concerned that tyres could still lift the original paint. What would you suggest in terms of surface treatment and paint?
We would recommend the concrete floor is ground prior to attempting to apply any paint.
