Need Help?

Hi, I own a narrowboat which i am looking to repaint. The build up is of timber and has then been overlaid with a vinyl covering then previously painted. What would you recommend to cover the roof. There are two main issues to consider; 1) Regarding the roof, I would like to seal this as there is some degradation of the Vinyl and the roof will be walked on frequently. 2) the finish although it needs to look presentable I only trying to achieve a similar finish to a 1970s hire boat as i would like to return her to her original livery. If you Google theboattripyears there is a blog covering a number of years' trips with Willow Wren Rugby and Willow Wren Kearns Middlewich with photo links which would give you an idea of the colours i am looking for. The coverage would be approx 22msq per side and roof. If you have any ideas it would really help. Many thanks Iain Wallace

Assuming you can remove the vinyl, we can recommend Teamac High Performance Marine Gloss which could be applied directly to timber.

This is available in many RAL and BS colours.
