Hi Ive an old metal ship’s bench with plenty of rust but no “damage” from it that I’m keen to paint for a seaside garden. Ideally light grey (the original colour) matt or satin. I’d be very grateful for you advice on the most suitable paint as i have no idea ! Many thanks Simon

Assuming the bench is clean, dry and rust is removed prior to application we can recommend Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion followed by 3 coats of Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original. This is available in many RAL and BS colours in a satin or gloss finish.
