I have bought some Rust-Oleum 3302 primer. Could you tell me if I paint the whole item with one coat or where there is bare aluminium it needs more that one coat. The paint has lifted in some places and is sound in others. Many thanks

Assuming the substrate and existing paint is compatible, has been cleaned, abraded and any loose or peeling material is removed you can use Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion to prime only the bare areas before application of a topcoat such as Rust-Oleum Combicolor Original.
