Assuming the bare timber is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Zinsser B-I-N followed by 2 coats of Zinsser Perma-White Interior.

This is available in many RAL and BS colours as shown on the product page in a matt or satin finish.
