We are working on a project where the bottom of a key klamp roof stepover (steps with handrails to enable people to walk over duct obstructions on a flat roof) is in contact, probably nearly all the time, with ponding water on a flat roof. The key klamp is galvanised so this should help but our concern is the key Klamp here will ultimately rust/deteriorate prematurely because of the above. Is there a paint product you could recommend that could be applied here to this recently installed galvanised steel key klamp, where it is next to the ponding at low level, to provide further protection from water?
Assuming the galvanised steel is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Jotun Jotamastic Smart Pack HB.
