We have some untreated wooden pine gates that will be used for a driveway. I want to paint them battleship grey but ensure the best weather protection. Can you recommend the best type of primer and paint to use please Thanks Scott
Assuming the timber is clean, dry and sound we can recommend Zinsser Cover Stain followed by two coats of Zinnser Allcoat Exterior Water Based. This is available in many RAL and BS colours in a matt, satin or gloss finish.
