Product Application
We do stock 2" Masking Tape, but this is not suitable for use at the temperatures envolved in powder coating.
Thank you for the enquiry, we will be contacting you directly.
Unfortunately we do not have a product to recommend that will insulate walls.
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately we do not have a product to recommend for this application.
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately we do not have a product we can recommend for this application.
We have no information on any anti-climb paints being used for this kind of application as they are purely used as a non-drying coating to prevent vandals having ease of access.
We do not recommend painting these areas, however please see our detailed blog post Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove.
Assuming the walls and ceiling are previously painted, well adhered, dry, clean, sound we can recommend Rust-Oleum Biosan Aqua.
This is available in many RAL and BS colours in a matt, satin or gloss finish.
If this is to be applied to bare plaster, prime with Rust-Oleum Mathys Pegalink Universal Adhesion Primer first.
Assuming the windows, doors and their previous coatings are clean, dry, sound we can recommend Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Water Based, available in a matt, satin or gloss finish. Any areas of bare or stained timber should be primed with Zinsser Cover Stain. Allcoat Exterior has a huge range of colours - over 4,000 - including Chartwell Green and RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
We can also recommend Technispray Kolorbond Aquatek, formulated for brush or spray - its applicable thinners and cleaners are listed at the bottom of the page. Aquatek is available in 2,400+ colours which also include Chartwell Green and RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
Assuming the varnished substrate is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend Zinsser B-I-N followed by Zinsser Perma-White Interior.
This is available in many RAL and BS colours in a matt or satin finish.
Assuming prior to application a test for compatibility / adhesion to the resin floor is undertaken prior to full application, the substrates are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend Sikadur 31 EF.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you by email.
Assuming the fencing is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion followed by 2 coats of Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original.
This is available in many RAL and BS colours in a satin or gloss finish.
Depending on if you are using Sikafloor 150 as a primer, levelling mortar or epoxy screed the coverage rate varies.
Please see the Technical Data Sheet in the data sheet tab for more information.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Assuming the tiles are not used on a floor, clean, dry, sound, not exposed to direct water contact and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface.
This is available in many RAL and BS colours in a matt, satin or gloss finish.
Thank you for the enquiry we have contacted you directly for more information.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Thank you we have contacting you directly for more information to assist you with this enquiry.
Assuming the previously applied paint is sound, a test for compatibility and adhesion is completed prior to full application it can be applied to a painted door.
The door must meet minimum requirements to achieve 30mins fire protection, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Assuming the wooden floor is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend Coo-Var P101 2 Pack Polyurethane Varnish.
This is a hardwearing 2 pack floor varnish suitable for heavy foot traffic areas.
Rust-Oleum Combi Primer Adhesion would stick to the stainless steel surface once it has been cleaned and degreased, this could then be overcoated with Rust-Oleum CombiColor which is available in a standard gold or tinted 'pearl' finishes. This should then be overcoated with Rust-Oleum 4900 Polycoat 2K but please be aware, none of these products are designed to be heat or come in direct contact with flames so may not be suitable if close to the heat source.
Unfortunately we do not have a paint to recommend for flaking mortar, we would recommend replacing the mortar.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately we do not have a product to recommend for this application.
We currently have nothing we could recommend for application on the internal surface of a fire pit.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information to assist you with a recommendation.
Please see our detailed blog post Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove.
This product will mirror the texture of the substrate it is applied to.
It is suitable for brush, roller or airless spray application.
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately we do not have a product we can recommend to vanish a waxed timber.
Assuming the track is made of macadam it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the techncial data sheet we can recommend Coo-Var Acrylic W/B Road Line Paint.
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately we do not have a product to recommend for this application.
Assuming the tiles are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum Tile Transformation Kit.
This is available in Aspen White
Assuming you are looking to waterproof this roof we only have an option for a product to be applied to the external areas of the roof and this will require a minimum of two coats.
For application to the external asbestos roof, assuming it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend GacoPro Roof Coating.
For 2 coats of 45m² you will require 2 x 19ltr.
I'm afraid we have nothing we could offer in a semi-matt finish in clear for overcoating an existing finish. Assuming Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original is the product you have used, this is available in a Satin finish.
Assuming the felt is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend Eagle DoubleCoat Pro-Reflect Liquid Waterproofing.
Assuming you are enquiring about Wethertex AP77 Flexible Smooth Masonry Paint the coverage rate is 4 - 15m² per litre per coat, dependant on the texture and porousity of the substrate.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Coo-Var Tennis Court & Drive Paint is suitable for this application.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Smartkote Safekote can be applied to concrete flags to provide an attractive, anti-slip finish that is doesn't hurt bare feet. 2 coats would be recommended once the flags are clean and dry.
We have no experience of this but we wouldn't recommend it.
I would assume from the description that this is a metal substrate? If so our initial suggestion would be Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde. If you contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] with some further information - size, images, etc. then they would be able to provide a more detailed specification for your project.
We would recommend applying Zinsser Perma-White Interior. Thoroughly clean down the surface, lightly sand to remove the sheen on the existing paint, prime/stain block if required and apply 2 coats. The paint comes in 4,000+ colours so can be matched to your existing decor.
Full application instructions are available on the product page and in the downloadable data sheet.
Yes, this would be our recommendation. Ensure to thoroughly clean, degrease and lightly abrade the surface prior to applying the Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 and use the water based versions of Zinsser AllCoat Exterior in suitable conditions.
We also stock Kolorbond uPVC Painting Kits that contain all of the products and application tools required to ensure a high quality finish on uPVC windows, doors and fascias. It is also suitable for use on composite doors and is available in 2,400+ RAL, NCS, and British Standard colours, including Chartwell Green and RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
You haven't said which product you're asking about but somethng like Rust-Oleum 7500 Alkythane comes in 5lt tins and can be mixed to nearly all RAL colours.
We are assuming this is for use on a boat and an antifouling paint is what you require? If so, see our antifouling options HERE.
You haven't mentioned which product you're enquiring about but assuming the walls are internal something like Osmo Oil StainorOsmo Wood Wax Finish may achieve the appearance you're looking for.
Can you advise which product you are enquiring about please?
We would suggest something such as Bradite HD Floor + Wall, make sure previous coatings are sound, well adhered and compatible. If you check on the data sheet full details of application to wall area is included - downloadable from the 'Attachments' tab.
To retain heat in the summer you could apply a thermal paint internally, and to reduce excessive heat gain in summer apply one of our exterior masonry paints to the exterior wall surfaces in white.
You can find Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original in RAL 9006 (white aluminium) here.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint can tolerate temperatures up to 750°C but we have no way of knowing whether it would do what you require in this instance so you would have to test it.
Assuming the galvanising is still unpainted we would suggest Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion followed by Rust-Oleum CombiColor. Download and read the product data sheets for each product from the attachments tab on each page for details on preparation and application.
We don't have any products with specific data for use on ABS, so unfortunately it would be a case of testing a product for adhesion, performance, etc. you can see our range of flame retardant topcoats here: https://www.rawlinspaints.com/flame-retardant-topcoats
We would suggest considering Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Matt (Water Based). If you provide the size of your area to paint we can provide a guide on how much would be required and a reduced price for quantity.
Due to the specialist nature of this application I would suggest contacting our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 or [email protected] with more details of your requirement so we may advise accordingly.
Smartkote Safekote would be our recommendation.
Providing the steel won't be subject to high levels of humidity during the cure process and assuming the steel does not require a decorative finish, you can use the below specification.
Environment (Defined in ISO 12944-2:1998) | Category C4 - Industrial Areas and Chemical Plants
Durability (Life to first major maintenance - see notes below) | Up to 20 years
Surface Preparation | Blast Clean to Sa2½ BS EN ISO 8501-1:2007
Surface Profile | Within the range 50-75 microns typical
Coat | Material | d.f.t. microns |
Primer / Buildcoat | Sherwin-Williams Macropoxy C400V3 | 275 |
Notes on this specification;
- ISO12944 states that Durability is not a guarantee time. Durability should be considered as the coating design life, where regular minor maintenance should be scheduled to achieve the required life to first major maintenance
- Dry film thicknesses (d.f.t.) quoted are NOMINAL as defined by BS EN ISO 12944-5.
- The same material is used for site touch up following suitable cleaning and re-preparation of affected areas.
- All materials should be obtained from Rawlins Paints and must be applied in accordance with the technical data sheets.
- Coated steelwork should be protected to prevent prolonged contact with water, e.g. ponding.
- Limited range of primer shades.
- All epoxy coatings will discolour and chalk progressively. Later application (site touch-up) may be noticeable.
- Stripe coat all edges, welds and areas of difficult access, to ensure full film thickness.
- For fire protection systems, please contact the Technical Department.
- This specification is offered as guidance only. To ensure that the most appropriate materials are used please contact Rawlins Paints with the project details.
With regards to a woodcoating system for use on Oak cladded steel in a swimming pool environment the below issues need explaining to your client.
- High humidity which can lead to black tanning on oak.
- Colour of translucent finish required (using a clear coating is not advisable)
- Ensuring all end grain timber is sealed to minimize moisture ingress which will distort the timber and turn Oak black.
We have sent you a seperate email with some further information attached which may be of use. We can provide a system but its important your customer is made aware of these issues.
You would need to consult the manufacturer of the 2 pack epoxy you intend to use to ascertain what their requirements would be as a primer and/or preparation required to the rudder before application.
Thermoguard Cladcoat is for the exterior face of corrugated cladding.
For the internal liner panel either;
i). Existing surface is Plastisol coating - Apply 2 coats of Thermoguard Wallcoat Smoke & Flame Retardant Topcoat
OR
ii). Existing coating is hard smooth powder coating - Apply 1 coat of Coo-Var Prime-All OR abrade for key and then apply Apply 2 coats of Thermoguard Wallcoat Smoke & Flame Retardant Topcoat
After preparation in accordance with the product data sheets we would advise Teamac Metaclor Underwater CR Primer followed by Teamac Chlorvar Chlorinated Rubber Paint. Allow 21 days minimum before submerging and bringing back into use.
Unfortunately not sorry.
Not from ourselves, sorry.
I am assuming you require something for slip resistance? If so, assuming the staircase is concrete we would recommend our 501 Anti Slip Floor Paint.
Britannia Aquashield High Build should be a good choice for this as it is recommended for use on GRP/Fibreglass.
Unfortunately for this type of application we can only offer black or silver/aluminium as colours. Something like Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C would be our recommendation.
We would suggest trying Zinsser Cover Stain, some permanent markers could bleed through so you will need to do a test first, 2 coats may be required.
I would suggest Rust-Oleum Mathys Elastofill, Rust-Oleum Mathys Primer 44 HS and Rust-Oleum Mathys Dacfill Waterproofing. Obviously we can't quantify what you'll need for the cracks using Elastofill but based on 1,842m² you'd need 185 litres of Primer 44 HS and 2,763 kilograms of Dacfill Waterproofing Coating. Please contact us for special pricing on 0113 2455450 or [email protected]
We wouldn't have anything specific for this, but assuming it will need to withstand high temperatures you could try Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C but there would be no guarantees.
We offer Rust-Oleum 5200 Epoxyshield Ultra which is an epoxy-modified acrylic but as this is primarily designed for industrial application I would make you aware that scuffs and scratches can still occur
Please see our blog post, Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove, which has our recommended products and application details.
At present, we do not have any products that would be suitable for your application.
Britannia Aquashield Eco offers a flexible waterproof finish that can be applied directly to cement fibre sheets. The first coat should be thinned 10% with clean water followed by an undiluted coat - all instructions and preparation guides are on the product page and in the downloadable data sheet.
We would recommend Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min Systems to achieve 30mins fire protection on compatible, primed internal steel. The packs contain an intumescent coating and a flame retardant topcoat which we can tint in most RAL and BS colours.
Assuming your steelwork is primed with a compatible primer only and all internal, we would recommend Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Universal Beams & Columns - the system packs have options for protection up to 30 and 60 minutes - both systems are available in RAL Black as a finish in either Eggshell or Gloss.
Cromadex 222 One Pack Fast Air Drying Alkyd Topcoat is available in 222V7000 Lilac Sparkle but isn't available as a colour selection on our website so please contact our sales team on 0113 245 5450 who will be happy to process an order for you
We currently have no products we could recommend for this application
Please click the following link and read through our Blog post on Painting the Walls Around A Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove which should assist you
We would recommend Sikaflex AT Connection for standard vertical connection joints to offer a flexible, over-paintable finish. If you could provide us more details on your specific application we may be able to offer an alternative - please email [email protected] with further information
Assuming an anti-slip finish is required then we would recommend Jotun Jota Armour
We would recommend Rust-Oleum CombiColor for application on to metal gates be it bare mild steel or previously painted. Rust-Oleum CombiColor should be thinned 10-25% volume with Rust-Oleum 7301 CombiColor Thinner when applying by conventional spray.
We would recommend 402 Damp Proof Coating for your application as this will provide a tough, durable finish as well as dealing with any damp in the substrate. If the concrete is a smooth, polished finish we would recommend the it is prepared with a diamond floor grinder to create a key or alternatively you could use an acid etch to prepare the surface, something like Rust-Oleum Mathys 108 Surfa Etch Solution but this would need to be thoroughly cleaned away with plenty of water before application of the paint system.
Assuming no fire protection is required then bare softwood timber should be primed with Zinsser Cover Stain before applying 2 coats of Zinsser Perma-White Interior which you can have in 4,000+ RAL, NCS, & BS colours in either a Matt or an Eggshell finish.
Unfortunately we currently cannot offer a clear anti-climb paint - all anti-climb products we offer are available in a range of standard colours such as Coo-Var Vandelene
We would recommend Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield Garage Floor Coating Kit which is ideal for your application. Each kit comprises a concentrated cleaner, 2 pack epoxy coating, decorative flakes, stir stick, instructions and a DVD making it a simple, user friendly product. If possible, do not apply to smooth/dense concrete, or to concrete containing a curing compound, as this will prevent a good adhesion.
Smartkote Protectakote UVR would be our recommendation however with the addition of Smartkote Protectakote 2K Metal Primer if bare metal and Smartkote Protectakote UVR Accelerator added to the Smartkote Protectakote UVR to speed up drying/curing.
The following table shows approximate drying times of Protectakote UVR at various temperatures with and without the use of accelerator:
Temperature (°C) | Drying Times
No Accelerator | 1 Dose | 2 Doses
23 | 1.5 Hours | 1 Hour | 55 mins |
20 | 2 Hours | 1.5 Hours | 55 mins |
15 | 2.5 Hours | 2 Hours | 1.5 Hours |
10 | 3 Hours | 2.5 Hours | 2 Hours |
8 | 4 Hours | 2.5 Hours | 2 Hours |
We do supply this product, it can be viewed/purchased HERE. We do not however know what you are referring to by 'FM approved' - please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 or [email protected] to discuss.
You haven't mentioned which product you are enquiring about here, please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 or [email protected] to discuss your requirements.
Please see our blog post on Painting the Walls Around a Fireplace or Multi-Fuel Stove for assistance with this enquiry.
Please see our blog post on Painting the Walls Around a Fireplace or Multi-Fuel Stove for assistance with this enquiry.
Teamac Marine Undercoat and Teamac Marine Gloss is a popular choice available in a wide colour range.
Rust-Oleum 5410 Asphalt Repair or Rust-Oleum 5478 Asphalt Restorer. Small pits and fissures can be filled with a stiff mortar consisting of dry sand mixed with Rust-Oleum 5478 Asphalt Restorer. Pits and fissures should be primed with Rust-Oleum 5478 Asphalt Restorer before trowelling in the mortar.
401 Epoxy Floor Primer followed by either 303 Epoxy Floor Paint or 304 HD Epoxy Floor Coating.
Glazed tiles must be cleaned and treated with Smartkote Protectakote Clear Primer Treatment for adhesion followed by Smartkote Safekote.
We can provide our fire protection systems in nearly all colours but you will need to advise our Technical Team on what surface you are trying to protection and to which level of fire protection - 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]
Assuming bare concrete, and small residentail unit we would suggest 402 Damp Proof Coating.
You haven't advised what level of fire protection you require or the size of your steel but assuming it is a small residential domectic project then Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Steel would be a good starting point.
If you wish us to confirm this would be suitable we would require the following information;
- Level of fire protection required (i.e. 30, 60, 90min, etc.)
- Each steel section dimension (i.e. 254x146x37 UB)
- Quantity and length of each section (or overall meterage for each section)
- Orientation (horizontal or vertical)
- Number of sides to be painted (all sides, 3 sides, 1 flange, etc.)
Cromadex AQ60 Two Pack Waterbased Polyurethane Topcoat isn't normally overcoated but you can apply another coat after 6 hours and within 14 days. If left longer than 14 days then abrade with either P240 or P320 and clean with Cromadex 678 Spirit Wipe. As the product is very durable and abrasion resistant in its own right, a clear topcoat wouldn't necessarily need be applied.
Jotun previously offered a couple of products which were available in Java Teak but they are no longer available. We would recommend Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) which we can mix in most RAL or BS colours but you would need to view a colour chart to ensure you are happy with the colour before ordering.
Before applying Thermoguard Thermocoat Ultimate we would recommend bare mild steel to be primed with Thermoguard Steel Fire Paint Primer. Intumescent paints by nature are very thick so we recommend that the paint be kept in warm conditions prior to application and the paint be mechanically mixed to improve fluidity. We'd also recommend applying a number of thinner coats rather than thick coats to improve the appearance.
We would recommend Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat for this application which can be applied directly to clean and dry tarmac and is available in 2 shades of grey.
We would recommend Jotun Tankguard Storage for this application which is suitable for and resistant to cane molasses up to 50°C.
Unfortunately metal decking is usually too thin for us to be able to provide an intumescent paint system that is able to acheive any level of fire protection.
Acheiving a matt, anthracite grey finish is no problem but getting one product that does all is not possible. Your steel needs to be suitably primed and then you can apply Bollom Brosteel Ultra 60 to acheive the level of fire protection and then Bollom Flameguard Ultra Vinyl Matt to achieve the anthracite grey matt finish.
Thank you for your enquiry, please provide our Technical Department (0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]) with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Timber thickness
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Type of timber (i.e. pine, mdf, plywood, etc.)
- Type of Timber surface (i.e. T&G, feather edge / shiplap cladding, solid panels / sheets, etc.)
- Use (i.e. floor, wall cladding, ceiling, etc.)
- Bare or previously coated?
Please note we do not export outside the UK.
This depends what product you use, something like Zeroflame Fire Retardant Treatment would remain effective for the lifetime of the substrate. Please provide our Technical Department (0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]) with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Timber thickness
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Type of timber (i.e. pine, mdf, plywood, etc.)
- Type of Timber surface (i.e. T&G, feather edge / shiplap cladding, solid panels / sheets, etc.)
- Internal or external
- Use (i.e. floor, wall cladding, ceiling, etc.)
- Clear or coloured coating required?
- Bare or previously coated?
How to get Fire Certification
It’s simple, just keep proof of purchase, batch numbers of the products used along with site details and contact Bollom Customer Services Department on 0191 410 6611 with the information and they will send you the relevant Certificate of Supply within 5 working days.
Rust-Oleum CombiColor is heat resistant up to 90°C (dry heat). We have no experience of this product being used for what you are suggesting but as long as the areas you are intending to paint remain dry and don't come in direct contact with the clothes that will be placed in the drier then it should meet your requirements.
In certain instances where the deck has concrete poured on top, yes. You would need to contact our Technical Department on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or email [email protected] to discuss your project requirements to gain a definitive answer/specification.
Unfotunately we don't have anything to offer for this at present.
We can offer nearly all RAL, BS and NCS colours apart from fluorescent and metallic shades.
To enable us to recommend the correct product and quantity please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Environment (internal, external, car park, chemical exposure, etc.)
- Application on site or in shop
No, we do not export. We only deliver to addresses in the UK.
You haven't said which paint you're looking at but nearly all our fire protection products come with some form of certification to provide to your authority.
We would recommend Blackfriar Professional Acrylic Floor Paint for this application as it is water based, available in most RAL and BS colours and can be applied directly to clean and dry concrete.
Most of the heat resistant paints we offer are avaialble in only black or aluminium. If you are happy with a metallic aluminium finish then we would recommend Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C for this application.
The concrete must be at least four weeks old, completely dry and free of surface laitance, contaminants, ice, water and previous poorly bonded coatings. Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations by alkaline or high pressure (steam) cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Sand previous coatings which are in good condition to remove gloss and to roughen the surface slightly. A trial area is advisable to test compatibility with previous coatings. Very smooth concrete or concrete with surface laitance (a weak dusty layer) should be abraded or etched with Surfa-Etch 108 to ensure adequate adhesion. The concrete should be thoroughly washed down and allowed to dry after. Powerfloat Epoxy Floor Primer 3366 is recommended on powerfloated surfaces. Below 5°C it may be necessary to avoid processes which involve wetting the floor due to the difficulty in drying. A good sweep or mechanical brushing may be sufficient. Do not apply outside if rainfall is imminent.
Once the above preparation has been carried out, apply 2 coats of Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid (Standard) directly to the surface at 10m² per litre/per coat.
This would mean for 180m² you would require 36 litres in total.
Clean down the area to coat, remove any loose and flaking paint, if back down to bare plaster on any areas prime with Zinsser AllCoat (Solvent-Based). Then apply 2 - 3 coats of Zinsser Perma-White Interior Satin in the colour of your choice. Dries in 2 hours, however we would recommend waiting at least 48 hours before using the dishwasher. Do not scrub the new coating for 7 days.
You haven't advised what product you're enquiring about here, but Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat is a matt finish product suitable for use on concrete driveways.
Our available delivery terms and pricing can be found HERE.
Tor Elastaseal Z systems have external fire exposure roof tests meeting "EXT. F.AA". We would advise you check this is suitable with your authority and if accepted, contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] to obtain a specification for your project.
Blackfriar Quick Drying Radiator Paint will take a temperature up to 150°C and is available in a white semi-gloss finish. As we don’t know what actual surface temperature the storage heaters will get up to we can’t say for sure if the paint will be OK on any particular storage heater, it could depend on the model, type etc. You will need to check with the manufacturer to find out what the surface temperature of their particular heater will get to during use. If it is below 150°C then Blackfriar Quick Drying Radiator Paint could be used.
All product data sheets are available to download from the 'Attachments' tab on each product page on our website.
We would recommend Zinsser Cover Stain be used to prime the timber once it is clean and dry before applying 2 coats of Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) which is available in most RAL and BS colours. This would offer a 15 year life expectancy.
Thanks for the enquiry, we currently wouldn't have anything we could offer for this application I'm afraid.
Please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] with more information.
Providing you can get the current substrate clean and free from surface contaminants then we would recommend a primer coat of Rust-Oleum 5401 Epoxy Impregnation Primer followed by 2 coats of Rust-Oleum 5500 Solvent Free Epoxy
Removing any fabric treatments that we offer is normally done through a number of washes. We wouldn't have any products we could offer to assist in removal I'm afraid.
You haven't told us what product you are enquiring about here, assuming you are trying to protect steelwork, in order to enable us to provide a specification please provide the following information;
- Environment (internal, external, car park, chemical exposure, etc.)
- Application on site or in shop
Alternatively you can just forward us drawings, fabrication/cutting lists and we'll extract the information from them but in that instance we'd need some guidance as to what to allow for i.e. all steels on first floor, etc.
After preparation (read the product data sheets), we would suggest priming your floor with 402 Damp Proof Coating followed by 503 Easy Clean Anti Slip Coating.
We currently have no enamel paints we could offer for your application due to the required heat resistance within the paint.
We are assuming both panels in question are made from timber, if so please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint (for both areas)
- Timber thickness (for both panels)
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Type of timber (i.e. pine, mdf, plywood, etc.)
- Internal or external
- Use (i.e. floor, cupboard door, ceiling, etc.)
- Clear or coloured coating required?
- Bare or previously coated?
We are assuming the sections in question are lightweight galvanised cold rolled sections. Intumescent would not be suitable for this because:
- The steel thicknesses are usually very low giving the section a very high section factor.
- They are strain hardened because of cold rolling which pushes the steel to its yield point to extract the extra strength in steel beyond its elastic range. The yellow book also describes that the limiting temperature for cold rolled steel sections will be lower than that of carbon steel sections.
If this is not the case, please contact our Technical Team to discuss your requirement further on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or email [email protected]
You would need to advise which exact product you are using/intend to use to enable us to be able to comment.
We're assuming you mean old felt here, however our waterproof roof coatings suitable for felt need the roof to be in a sound condition prior to application. If the roof is not safe to be stood on then you presumably would not be able to gain access to carry out the necessary preparation/application of a product and the roof coating would not provide any structural integrity to the roof. Additionally a roof in this state would seemingly need to be replaced rather than overcoated.
Rust-Oleum Universal All Surface Paint should go over a well cured varnish surface no problem without sanding as long as there is no wax or spray polish on the surface. Wiping the surface down with Methylated Spirits would be good preparation. If the varnish is recently applied i.e. less than a month, then a test area should be done first.
Blackfriar Professional Anti Climb Paint is available to buy via our website in 1lt, 2.5lt and 5lt sizes.
Unfortunately we don't have anything for exterior applications to prevent condensation.
We wouldn't recommend a paint at all for this application. It doesn't matter how expensive, this is a very heavy duty category and paints are not just equipped for that. We would instead recommend an epoxy screed such as RSL Resucrete.
This FERFA guide link supports this https://www.ferfa.org.uk/guidance/product-and-applications/
We would need to know what the tank is bening used for - i.e. drinking water, ballast, dirty/grey water, sewage, etc.
Assuming it is a ballast water tank then we would recommend Jotun Jotamastic 90. If this is not the case, please contact our Technical Team with details on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]
Jotun Tankguard DW - please download and read all product data sheets from the 'Attachments' tab on the product page before purchase/use. Please note this is a specialist product requiring specific preparation of surfaces and requires professional use/application only.
We would suggest Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane - Remove grease, oil and all other surface contamination using alkaline or high pressure (steam) cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Sand previous coatings that are in good condition to remove gloss and to roughen the surface slightly. Assure that the previous coating is compatible with Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane by making a test application. Remove bad adhering coatings by scraping, wire brushing or sanding. (Spot)prime with recommended Rust-Oleum or Mathys coatings. The surface must be clean and dry during application.
Not quite sure what you are asking here but Blackfriar Professional Solar Reflective Paint White may be a good place to start?
Unfortunately we do not have a product that can offer fire protection to glass.
Assuming the roof is aged/weathered and not brand new - after cleaning Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Pegarust can be applied directly in just 2 coats by brush, roller or spray.
Assuming the timber is bare and requires Euroclass B (BS Class 0) Fire Propagation and Spread of Flame fire protection we would suggest Zeroflame Fire Retardant Treatment.
You haven't said which product you're referring to but if it says the minimum order quantity is 50 litres that that will be correct. Assuming it is metal cladding you are wanting to paint, something like Bradite Cladit comes in 5lt tins and has no minimum order quantity.
Thank you for your enquiry, for the steel you have to fire protect we require the following information;
- Environment (internal, external, car park, chemical exposure, etc.)
- Application on site or in shop
For the plasterboard areas we require the following;
- Level of fire protection required (i.e. Class 1, Class 0, 30, 60, etc.)
- Use of area (i.e. wall, ceiling, etc.)
- Size of area to coat (in square metres)
The only product for worktops we do is Rust-Oleum Worktop Transformation Kit.
The only product we offer for use on shower floors is Smartkote Safekote.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C is only available in black or aluminium colours.
Unfortunatley not sorry.
We do not ship outside of the UK.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C may be OK but you would have to test an area and ensure it is not in direct contact with flames or food.
Cromadex 233 One Pack Air Drying Alkyd Topcoat can be produced in nearly all RAL and BS colours and in matt, eggshell, semi-gloss and gloss finishes.
Slurry can be quite aggressive and we would normally prefer a tank lining like Jotun Tankguard Storage to be used, however this requires dry abrasive blast cleaning to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) using abrasive media suitable to achieve a sharp and angular surface profile. If that can’t be achieved, we could only suggest Jotun Jotamstic 87 applied at 200um DFT followed by 100um DFT of Jotun Tankguard Storage.
For occasional use we would recommend 501 Anti Slip Floor Paint, for heavier/more frequent use we would suggest Smartkote Protectakote UVR.
After cleaning and preparation patch prime any bare metal areas (assuming non-ferrous) with Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion, then apply 2 coats of Rust-Oleum CombiColor in the colour and finish of your choice to all areas.
Thank you for your enquiry, please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Each steel section dimension (i.e. 254x146x37 UB)
- Quantity and length of each section (or overall meterage for each section)
- Orientation (horizontal or vertical)
- Number of sides to be painted (all sides, 3 sides, 1 flange, etc.)
- Environment (internal, external, car park, chemical exposure, etc.)
- Application on site or in shop
This will need repairing/replacing immediately. It is important to seek the manufacturer's advice of the intumescent system that is currently on the steel in order to ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with their requirements to ensure the fire protection is maintained.
Hydron Nu-Guard AG would be suitable for this application and is available in white.
Unfortuantely we do not offer samples of this product.
Could you be more specific about which product(s) you're asking about?
For steel, see Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 60min System for Steel
For plasterboard, see Thermoguard Wallcoat 30 & 60 Minute System
For timber, see Thermoguard Timbercoat 30 & 60 Minute System
Be sure to understand the minimum requirements of your substrates for each system. Contact our Technical Department on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] if in doubt.
Also, be sure to seek approval from your authority prior to purchase and use to ensure it meets their requirements.
Our recommendation would be Hydron Nu-Cryl AG.
Thank you for your enquiry, please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Timber thickness
- Type of Timber surface (i.e. T&G, feather edge / shiplap cladding, solid panels / sheets, etc.)
- Internal or external
- Use (i.e. floor, wall cladding, ceiling, etc.)
- Clear or coloured coating required?
- Bare or previously coated?
Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde is a water-based, single-component paint that offers up to 20 years of corrosion protection on industrial, pitched (and weathered/aged) galvanised roofs. A warranty can also be offered for the system if applied by an approved and trained contractor.
If you wish to find out more about this system, contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2).
We do not supply fire doors, only fire retardant paints/varnishes and fire door accessories. All of which can be found HERE.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C would be our suggestion to try but this must not be subject to direct contact with flames.
Thank you for your enquiry, please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Bare or previously coated?
We would recommend Smartkote Protectakote UVR with the addition of Smartkote Protectakote Safety Grip.
We would recommend Eagle Quick Drying Bitumen Primer followed by Eagle DoubleCoat Pro-Reflect.
We would recommend priming with Zanders PF59 Stain Blocking Primer Finish, then finishing with Wethertex OT25 Wood-Flex Satin Opaque Timber Paint in RAL 7012 Basalt Grey.
Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) can be applied directly to cleaned, aged uPVC without the need of a primer and is available in almost any colour.
You can see the products we can offer for upgrading the fire resistance of doors HERE.
However, although we can supply certificates for most of our fire protection coatings (inlcuding the ones for doors) it is ultimately up to your authority to approve the use of the products for your projects and if, in this instance they do not wish to entertain anything other than complete replacement of your doors with manufactured fire doors there is nothing we can do to override this decision.
The Zinsser AllCoat Exterior (Water Based) range would be something to consider, these products offer 15yr performance and are available in nearly any colour and in matt, satin or gloss finishes.
we would suggest Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint for this application.
Our sales team can handle returns for you, they can be contacted on 0113 2455450 (option 1) or [email protected]
Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) can be applied directly to cleaned, aged uPVC without the need of a primer and is available in almost any colour and size.
Hydron Nu-Flame Synthetic & Fabric Protector, Envirograf 3-2-1 Standard Fire Retardant Liquid and Bollom Flamebar PE6 all mention curtains as a suitable substrate. Estimated coverage rates can be found in the Technical Data Sheet for each product available to download from the 'Attachments' tab on each product page.
Assuming you just wish to decorate the board with improving or hindering the current level of fire protection it affords we would recommend Thermoguard Wallcoat Smoke & Flame Retardant Topcoat.
Unfortunately we would have nothing that would meet these requirements for your application.
Assuming compatibility we would suggest considering Teamac P101 High Performance Finish.
Generally for this age of galvanised steel on a roof we would suggest washing down with Rust-Oleum Mathys ND14 Cleaner Degreaser then Rust-Oleum Mathys 108 Surfa Etch Solution followed by Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde or Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Pegarust.
However, it seems that the reactions being reported after just two weeks are highly unusual, this deterioration after just two weeks is definitely not normal and we would recommend seeking advice from the installers/manufacturers to gain more information of possible causes and remedies.
Rust-Oleum CombiColor Aerosols are available in a gold metallic gloss finish, suitable up to 90°C (dry heat), at elevated temperatures discoloration may occur.
We're not quite sure what products you're referring to here but assuming it is fire retardant products. Most of these products come with a certificate application form which can be completed and returned by the applicator after use, a Certificate of Supply is then issued.
How about something like 506 Anti Slip Dressing
We would recommend considering Thermoguard Timbercoat BS Class 1/0 & EN Class B System or Thermoguard Timbercoat 30 & 60 Minute System depending on the level of fire protection required.
No, unfortunately not, all intumescent coatings for steel are coloured. We usually recommend Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Steel for small domestic projects as this is available in small pack sizes in almost any colour.
We would suggest Teamac Stable Paint.
No, this is not something the manufacturer offers.
Eagle DoubleCoat Pro-Reflect is a liquid elastomeric waterproofing membrane, reinforced with microfibers and high aluminium content. Used for waterproofing most types of roof surfaces to include galvanised steel, iron zinc, asbestos, cement, roofing felt, asphalt, bituminous roof coatings and anticorrosion to exposed metal structures such as storage tanks, pipes and cladding and it is highly recommended for industrial units and warehouses.
After suitable cleaning and preparation (observe local regulations), apply 1 coat of Eagle Quick Drying Bitumen Primer followed by Eagle DoubleCoat Pro-Reflect at a rate of 1-2 litres per square metre by brush or spray.
Assuming 30min protection is required, Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Steel is a popular choice for these small, domestic projects.
Blackfriar Quick Drying Radiator Paint will take a temperature up to 150°C and is available in a white semi-gloss finish. As we don’t know what actual surface temperature the storage heater will get up to we can’t say for sure if the paint will be OK on any particular storage heater, it could depend on the model, type etc. You will need to check with the manufacturer to find out what the surface temperature of their particular heater will get to during use. If it is below 150°C then Blackfriar Quick Drying Radiator Paint could be used.
Matt black would be very similar to a chalk board effect so would mark extremely easily, be difficult to clean, etc.
Instead we would recommend a Semi-Gloss finish with something like Bradite Poly Lacquer.
Assuming this is a small, local sports centre or similar, our 503 Easy Clean Anti Slip Coating has been used for similar applications assuming the floor is currently bare concrete.
We would need to know details of the proposed pigments to check compatibility before we could make a recommendation. If you have this information please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]
Thank you for your enquiry, please provide us with an image of the door(s) (if possible) and as much information as possible for the below points;
- Level of Fire Protection required? (i.e. 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Style of door? (i.e. panelled, ledge & brace, etc.)
- Solid or hollow core? - (please note we cannot provide anything to upgrade hollow doors)
- Door size? (height and width)
- Door thickness? (include thickness at thinnest point (i.e. panel))
- Number of doors to do?
- Clear or coloured finish required?
- Bare or previously painted?
Prior to application of Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Gloss (Water Based) on bare wood you should first prime with Zinsser Cover Stain.
If you could provide a photo to [email protected] we can advise best options.
GacoPro Roof Coating can be applied directly to GRP, clean and apply 2 coats.
Assuming the level of fire protection required is 30 minute, Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Steel is very popular for small domestic projects.
We would need to know whether the bi-folds were timber or metal, if metal no. If timber, we could potentially provide a product to apply to the wooden elements of the door to improve the fire rating but we would assume the glass in the bi-folds is not fire rated so this would need replacing also. So the answer is most likely not cost effectively.
There isn't a generic answer to this. It would depend on which epoxy product was used, how many coats, level of traffic on the floor, etc.
Rust-Oleum Chalky Floor Paint is suitable for application on floors/stair treads.
We stock many products suitable for residental flooring, please contact [email protected] with the information below.

Thank you for the enquiry for these applications assuming the are not subject to direct water contact we would recommend the Ardenbrite range of metallic finishes.
We wouldn’t recommend any other of our metallic finish products for timber.
Assuming the application method is airless spray, the oak kitchen cupboards are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Zinsser Cover Stain followed by Zinsser Perma-White Interior.
This can be mixed to many RAL and BS colours in a satin or matt finish.
Assuming you require Solar Reflective properties from the paint, GacoPro Roof Coating can be applied directly to cleaned and prepared fibreglass and is available in Solar Reflective White.
Thank you for your enquiry, to enable us to be able to answer your question, please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Timber thickness
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Type of timber (i.e. pine, mdf, plywood, etc.)
- Type of Timber surface (i.e. T&G, feather edge / shiplap cladding, solid panels / sheets, etc.)
- Internal or external
- Use (i.e. floor, wall cladding, ceiling, etc.)
- Clear or coloured coating required?
- Bare or previously coated?
This is definitely something we can help with but very much depends on what your boat is made from and what you currently have on the surface?
We can issue a certificate of supply with nearly all our fire protection products for timber. We can offer anything from 3-5 working day delivery right up to next day AM delivery on these products. We would however suggest that before purchasing anything you contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] with the following information so they can ensure you are purchasing the correct product and quantity to ensure certification can be issued.
- Size of surface area to paint

Britannia Clearshield Eco would be our recommendation for this. For special pricing on bulk quantity orders, please contact our sales team on 0113 2455450 or [email protected]
You haven't mentioned a product but for pitched, corrugated asbestos roofs we usually recommend Eagle DoubleCoat Pro-Reflect which is a liquid elastomeric waterproofing membrane, reinforced with microfibers and high aluminium content.
After suitable cleaning and preparation (observe local regulations), apply 1 coat of Eagle Quick Drying Bitumen Primer, followed by Eagle DoubleCoat Pro-Reflect.
Based on 18m² (20ftx10ft) you would require 1 x 5lt Eagle Quick Drying Bitumen Primer + 1 x 25lt Eagle DoubleCoat Pro-Reflect.
Thank you for your question, we'd need to know some further details before being able to advise - please contact our Technical Department on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]
Sikafloor 2540W is not recommended for use on timber.
We have a blog post on Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove which we would suggest reading for advice before making a decision.
We would recommend Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Steel, however as your steel has more than just a compatible primer on, this would all need removing back to bare steel, and suitably priming before application of the Aquasteel system.
Thank you for your enquiry, you would need to contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] to discuss this enquiry in more detail.
Wethertex AP77 Flexible Smooth Masonry Paint is a highly breathable exterior masonry paint, however as you have suggested, if the existing paint isn't breathable and you intend to paint over the top of this then there may be little benefit.
Fire protection would almost certainly be required here however specifics would need to be sought from the local authority to the projects. Once this advice has been gained, we would need to know the following to provide details on the best product(s) to use;
- Dimensions of joists
- Length of joists
- Number of joists
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Type of timber (i.e. pine, oak, CLT, etc.)
- Internal or external
- Clear or coloured coating required?
- Bare or previously coated?
We would recommend the following;
- Break out defective concrete
- Remove any loose/friable material
- Clean all corroded steel to SA2.5 (bright steel)
- Immediately apply a layer of Sika MonoTop 610 to cleaned steel
- Once 1st coat has stiffened (circa 30mins), apply 2nd coat of Sika MonoTop 610 to steel and surrounding broken out concrete, ensuring an even coat to all broken out areas.
- Once stiffened and matted off, build the repair section back up using Sika MonoTop 612 (for all structural repairs) or Sika MonoTop 615 (where no structural requirements are needed).
- For any small blowholes/pin holes a skim coat of Sika MonoTop 620 could be applied.
Datasheets for each product containing specific application guidelines etc. can be downloaded from the links provided above under the 'Attachments' tab.
We'd need to know what your kitchen floor currently is - i.e. tiles, wood, concrete, etc? Please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or email [email protected] to discuss.
We've produced a Blog on Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove which should contain all the information you require on this application.
It sounds like maybe you're wanting a solar reflective paint here instead of heat resistant? Either way we would need some more details on your requirements so please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or email them on [email protected]
Unfortunately we don't have any high temperature paint available in a gold colour.
After cleaning, we recommend priming with Zinsser B-I-N followed by Zinsser Perma-White Interior in the colour and finish of your choice.
Assuming the sign has an existing, intact coating on we would suggest Blackfriar Enamel Paint which comes in a range of colours including Black and White. If the surface is to be bare aluminium to be painted we would suggest priming with Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion followed by Rust-Oleum CombiColor.
We're not quite sure what you're asking here with 'parting' walls but Rust-Oleum Mathys Murfill Waterproofing Coating may be a good place to start.
Assuming existing paint is sound and well adhered, simply clean and lightly abrade to provide a key and apply 2-3 coats of Zinsser AllCoat Exterior (Water Based) in the colour and finish of your choice - no undercoat/primer required. Any areas of bare wood should first be primed with Zinsser Cover Stain.
We would require some more information before being able to offer the most suitable product, such as;
- How you are going to prepare the substrate (e.g. hand/power tool or abrasive blasting)?
- Insulated or uninsulated pipes?
- Applied to hot substrate? - If so, what max temp the coating will be applied at?
Please provide the answers to the above questions to our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]
For small domestic applications like this, Bedec Super-Flex has been used sucessfully previously.
Thank you for your enquiry, to enable us to be able to advise please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Each steel section dimension (i.e. 254x146x37 UB)
- Quantity and length of each section (or overall meterage for each section)
- Orientation (horizontal or vertical)
- Number of sides to be painted (all sides, 3 sides, 1 flange, etc.)
- Application on site or in shop
Alternatively you can just forward us drawings, fabrication/cutting lists and we'll extract the information from them but in that instance we'd need some guidance as to what to allow for i.e. all steels on first floor, etc.
Assuming the timber is currently bare we would recommend Thermoguard Thermoproof Interior Fluid followed by Thermoguard Thermoproof Interior Sealer in the white effect colour and finish of your choice.
Unfortunately we currently don't have a product that would be able to provide any level of fire protection to this type of floor surface.
Thermoguard Asbestos Encapsulating Coating
We would suggest considering Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield Garage Floor Coating Kit, once painted we would advise laying protective mats on the floor surface over any areas where heavy equipment will be stood, lifted, dropped, dragged, etc. to preserve the floor/paint system under these extreme stresses.
Rust-Oleum CombiColor would be our suggestion if the aluminium has a previous coating to all areas which is sound, well adhered, etc. Assuming the project is small domestic project, simply clean, lightly sand and apply CombiColor in the desired colour and finish.
We would suggest a THOROUGH de-rust to remove all rust, failing existing coatings, etc. Then spot prime with Rust-Oleum 9169 Epoxy Rust Primer on areas of bare clean metal, followed by Rust-Oleum 9100 High Performance Epoxy and finally Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane.
Thermoguard Thermostrip PRO has been used previously to remove intumescent coatings easily.
Unfortunately not, we're not aware of any clear fire protection coating for steel on the market currently.
If a coloured paint system is acceptable, please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
Bedec Super-Flex has been used for application to this type of conservatory roof before on small, domestic projects to provide solar reflectivity and waterproofing properties but it would not offer any sound proofing qualities.
Assuming all tarmac will be removed and the concrete subfloor prepared in accordance with the manufacturer recomendations, Sika SikaScreed Rapid-75 could be considered.
Please see our blog post Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove
Could you advise the exact product names of these thinners please as we have over 117 thinners/solvents listed on the website?
Orders would be placed via our website and we deliver nationwide via FedEx - Assuming this is a small residential, interior project that requires 30min protection we would normally suggest Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Steel.
Assuming the paint doesn't have to be food safe and temperatures wouldn't get above 90°C (dry heat), Rust-Oleum CombiColor is available in a Satin Black finish and can be applied in conjunction with a suitable primer - Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion for ferrous metals and Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion for non-ferrous.
After cleaning and preparation of these surfaces as per the manufacturers instructions you could apply either Envirograf Door Upgrade Paint System or Envirograf Door Upgrade Varnish System using the primer included in the kits.
Assuming you wish to mark/highlight the edges of steps, ledges, stairways, etc. we would suggest considering Heskins Reflective Tape.
We have had good results with similar projects with Hydron Nu-Guard AG. We also suggest trying a sample area to test for compatibility, appearance, etc.
Sikagard 62 or Jotun Tankguard DW have been used by other customers for this type of application previously.
Products such as Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU and Rust-Oleum Mathys Pegakote are two examples of floor paints we do that are available to tint in nearly any colour other than fluorescent or metallics.
It would depend on the size, use and traffic level of the floor area but something like 304 HD Epoxy Floor Coating would be a good place to start. I would suggest contacting our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] to discuss further.
I'm not sure which paint was exactly recommended to you but we have had other customers use Rust-Oleum CombiColor for this type of application and achieve very good results.
You haven't advised what level of fire protection you require but assuming it is BS Class 1, 0 or EN Class B we would recommend Thermoguard Timbercoat BS Class 1/0 & EN Class B System.
We would suggest Hydron Nu-Guard AG.
No, but you could paint the surface with a suitable normal paint to give it the appearance you want and then finish it with the clear Hydron Nu-Guard AG to provide the graffiti protection.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C may be suitable assuming it would not be subject to direct flame contact, but you would have to check adhesion to the existing surface you wish to paint to ensure it is adequate by carrying out a small test with the product before doing the whole area.
We'd need some more information here, why are you wanting to paint it - for fire protection, to hide the effect of the wallpaper, simply to decorate and change colour, etc.
Please contact our Technical Team with more detail on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]
Assuming the surface is dry at the moment you would need to prime the quarry tiles with SCHÖNOX SHP and then level out with SCHÖNOX XA and then install your vinyl using SCHÖNOX EMICLASSIC.
We would recommend using Envirograf Woodfiller.
Thank you for your enquiry, assuming the steels are in an internal, dry environment and have a minimum wall thickness of 4mm I calculate you have approximately 1.8m² of surface area to coat. For this you would require 4.5 litres of Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ to achieve 30min protection - https://www.rawlinspaints.com/products/272-zeroflame-aquasteel-wb.html
Assuming the steel is currently just suitably primed, once the Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ has been applied, if the steel is to remain visible you should finish with Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ Finish in the colour and finish of your choice - https://www.rawlinspaints.com/products/851-zeroflame-aquasteel-wb-topcoat.html - just 2.5 litres of this would be required.
Upon completion you simply peel the label of the basecoat tin and complete the certificate application form. Once submitted a certificate will be returned to you and this is what you can give to the client/authority.

All product data sheets are available to download from the product page under the 'Attachments' tab.
Please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) to discuss your project and advise which chemicals at what temperature and concentration you would need the coating to be resistant to.
Sorry, we're not sure what you're asking here - please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2) to discuss.
Assuming it needs to be food safe, unfortunately we wouldn't have anything for this application.
Please see our blog; Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove
We're not familiar with 'Panguanetta plywood' but assuming it is just a normal fire rated plywood Thermoguard Smoke & Flame Retardant Dualcoat in clear could be used to seal and maintain the current level of fire protection. Eggshell finish is advisable as matt can appear cloudy in certain instances over darker substrates.
Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) would be our recommendation. This can be applied directly to the uPVC after cleaning and a light sand and the same for the aluminium if it is previously coated with something. If it is bare aluminium, first prime with Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3.
You could try Hydron AG2 Graffiti Remover which is specially-formulated for use on sensitive surfaces, such as plastic, signs and polycarbonate glazing. There would be no guarantees however it would be our only suggestion.
Unfortunately we wouldn't have anything suitable for this application.
Please see Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 60min System for Steel.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C can be applied to various metal surfaces but colour range is limited to Black or Aluminium and it is not to be over painted.
You haven't mentioned which product you're looking at, but you can see the paints we recommend to provide additional fire protection to doors HERE.
In order to answer this question we would need you to provide our technical team ([email protected]) with as much of the following information as possible;
Could you please advise what level of fire protection you need to achieve and what colour you would like?
Zinsser Cover Stain followed by Zinsser AllCoat Exterior (Water Based) in Matt, Satin or Gloss finish in the colour of your choice. This system will provide an excellent 15 year performance.
Rust-Oleum Speed Screed can be used externally.
Assuming the area will receive foot traffic only, we would recommend Coo-Var Suregrip Anti-Slip Floor Paint. Prime the concrete with 10% thinned Coo-Var Floor Paint or Coo-Var Alkali Resisting Primer Sealer first.
Rust-Oleum CombiColor is frequently used for these type of DIY vehicle renovation projects however it is not OK to be applied over a wrap, it must be onto existing paint or primed metal only.
We would suggest instead Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid (Standard) with Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 200 included.
After cleaning, we would suggest priming the roof with either Britannia One Pack Etch Primer or Britannia Zinc Phosphate Metal Primer depending on whether the metal is ferrous or not and then coating with Britannia Aquashield High Build.
Blackfriar Professional High Traffic Floor Paint with anti-slip aggregate added.
Cromadex 222 One Pack Fast Air Drying Alkyd Topcoat can be used for powdercoat touch-up. It comes in Touch-Up Sticks, Aerosols and tins of paint.
You would need to seek advice from the manufacturer of the poured resin as to what paints are compatible over their product. If you can provide our Technical Team with their response on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] we can further advise.
Assuming the existing paint is sound and well adhered you could simply clean and lightly sand and apply Rust-Oleum CombiColor in the colour and finish of your choice.
We would suggest Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Pegarust, this can be applied directly to weathered galv after cleaning and degreasing - two coats must be applied though, not one.
We would suggest priming and applying the desired colour with Bradite One Can and then finishing with Bradite Poly Lacquer in clear as a final topcoat. We would suggest carrying out a trial on the furniture first to ensure it achieves the desired effect before doing the whole project.
After repairs, cleaning and preparation have been carried out on the concrete we would suggest Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid (Standard) as a final floor coating.
You haven't advised what product you're looking at? Also can you advise what the substrate is to be coated - i.e. timber, steel, etc?
Please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Timber thickness
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Type of timber (i.e. pine, mdf, plywood, etc.)
- Type of Timber surface (i.e. T&G, feather edge / shiplap cladding, solid panels / sheets, etc.)
- Internal or external
- Use (i.e. floor, wall cladding, ceiling, etc.)
- Clear or coloured coating required?
- Bare or previously coated?
We would recommend Britannia Durashield FD Primer followed by Britannia Durashield in Solar Reflective White. An adhesion/pull off test is recommended when applying this system to EPDM - please see full details in the Britannia Durashield FD Primer data sheet available to download from the 'Attachments' tab on the product page.
Assuming it isn't subject to actual water contact, we would recommend Timberex Aqua.
What is the surface you intend to apply the roof paint to - i.e. felt, lead, timber, etc?
Is it flat or pitched?
What does your wife want to use to over paint with?
Wood must first be dried and pre-treated with a coat of Rust-Oleum Mathys Primer 44 HS then coated with Rust-Oleum Mathys Fillcoat Fibres.
Yes, Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU is available in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
Assuming the area is only for residential use and the concrete is bare, after preparation prime with 2 x 5lts of Rust-Oleum 5220 Epoxyshield Sealer follwed by 4 x 5lts of Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat.
No.
Could you advise whether the doors are wooden or metal please?
We would recommend Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) or our Kolorbond Aquatek uPVC Painting Kits which have the correct amounts of Kolorbond and preparation products for painting uPVC, PVC, and composite surfaces such as doors and windows. These are available in 2,400+ RAL, NCS, and British Standard colours, including Chartwell Green and RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
We would recommend Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System for Steel.
We wouldn't recommend anything for this really, you could use an anti-graffiti coating like Hydron Nu-Guard AG but ideally the paints you are using for each substrate if good should protect them in their own right.
You can see a number of paints we have HERE to provide fire protection to doors, however each has it's own minimum requirements for your doors so please read carefully and contact our Technical Department on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected] if unsure.
Assuming you wish to provide a level of fire protection to timber we have products such as Thermoguard Timbercoat BS Class 1/0 & EN Class B System which are available in nearly all RAL, BS and NCS colours.
Please see our blog on Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove.
Any of the Zinsser AllCoat Exterior (Water Based) finishes are excellent on exterior timber cladding after first priming bare wood with Zinsser Cover Stain.
We would suggest our 501 Anti Slip Floor Paint, existing painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly. Bare concrete should be first primed with 10% thinned 301 Industrial Floor Paint.
It depends how porous the quarry tiles are, some acccept a coating and some don’t so unfortunately no straight answer to that.
You would need to do a test area first but the product that may work is Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint.
Primer: Thinned down first coat of Coo-Var Acrylic Floor Paint.
Rust-Oleum 3333 Super Adhesion Primer followed by Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane gives you a primer and a topcoat that can adhere to most tiled surfaces and is available in most RAL and BS colours. A test area is recommended prior to full application to ensure adhesion, appearance, durability, etc.
Unfortunately not for this application sorry.
We would recommend our Zeroflame Aquasteel WB+ 30min System For Steel for your application providing your steel is already primed
We would recommend Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid (Standard) with Rust-Oleum Non-Skid Additive NS 200.
Rust-Oleum 5412 Epoxy Filler to repair any small defects then Rust-Oleum 9200 Rust-O-Thane. This comes in nearly any colour and clear also if you want to finish the floor with a clear seal. The existing Pegakote will need to be clean and abraded to provide a key for the new coat of 9200 to stick to as we pressume you will have now exceeded the overcoating window of the Pegakote.
Assuming no level of fire protection is required we would suggest Mathys Fassithane Matt, Satin or Gloss after preparation - see product data sheet for details.
Thank you for your enquiry, in order for us to be able to advise on your project, please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
To be able to answer your question we would need to know what your hull is made from, the approximate speed of your boat and whether it is to be used in fresh water or salt water?
You could coat it with something like Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat to give it a uniform colour. Prime all bare areas first with a coat of Rust-Oleum 5220 Epoxyshield Sealer.
Hydron Mona-Guard Revive doesnt imitate tarmac but it is available in black and can be applied to concrete driveways to create a durable, uniform appearance.
After suitable preparation (see product data sheet available to download from the 'Attachments' tab) we would recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Pegakote.
Waterborne stains or varnishes can be used over Zeroflame Fire Retardant Treatment as long as they are compatible, non-flammable and will dry. We always recommend to try a small sample area first to ensure the stain does not react with the Zeroflame Fire Retardant Treatment and will dry out.
Please could you advise;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Timber thickness
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Use (i.e. floor, wall cladding, ceiling, etc.)
Our most popular clear graffiti protection coating is Hydron Nu-Guard AG.
Assuming those measurements are in feet, you have an approximate area of 90m² to coat. To apply 2 coats of Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat to this area you should need around 25 litres. To quantify how much Rust-Oleum 5220 Epoxyshield Sealer you would need, we would need to know what proportion of the total area is bare concrete.
You have two options:
Single pack option = Teamac Metaclor Underwater CR Primer followed by Teamac Antifouling D.
Two pack option = Teamac 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer and Teamac Antifouling D.
Envirograf offer a system for previously varnished timber on the assumption that the wood is a minimum of 12mm thick.
- 1 coat of Envirograf HWAP/WB Primer applied at 10sqm per litre
- 2 coats of Envirograf HW02N Clear Intumescent Coating applied at 8sqm per litre/per coat
- 1 coat of Envirograf HW Excel Clear Top Coat applied at 12sqm per litre
We would advise you accurately measure the area to coat and the timber thickness and contact our Technical Team for a complete specification - 0113 2455450 (option 2) or [email protected]
For best practice we would always recommend the use of Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion on bare ferrous metals before the application of Rust-Oleum CombiColor.
In order for us to be able to help with your enquiry, please provide us with the following information.

- Bare or previously coated?
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid (Wintergrade) is available in white and can be applied in temperatures down to -10°C.
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately we do not have a product to recommend for this application.
Assuming the previously applied paint is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum Combicolor Original.
We would recommend testing for compatibility and adhesion prior to full application on previously applied paints.
Thank you for the enquiry, unfortunately we do not have a product we can recommend for this application.
Please see our blog post: Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Assuming this is a Parex Monorex Monocouche Colour Through Render it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Wethertex AP77 Flexible Smooth Masonry Paint.
3 coats would be required with the first thinned 5-10% with clean water as a primer coat.
Regarding the walls and slate roof tiles, assuming they are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical data sheet we can recommend Britannia Wallshield Eco.
We would recommmend testing for compatibility and adhesion prior to full application.
This may aid in reducing the heat.
Please see our blog post: Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove
Assuming it is the floor you wish to paint, we would recommend Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid.
Unfortunately we wouldn't have anything suitable for this application.
Thank you for your enquiry, to enable us to help with your enquiry, please provide us with as much of the following information as possible;
- Size of surface area to paint
- Timber thickness
- Level of Fire Protection required (Class 1, Class 0, 30min, 60min, etc.)
- Type of timber (i.e. pine, mdf, plywood, etc.)
- Type of Timber surface (i.e. T&G, feather edge / shiplap cladding, solid panels / sheets, etc.)
- Internal or external
- Clear or coloured coating required?
- Bare or previously coated?
We would recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Murfill Waterproofing Coating.
Rust-Oleum CombiColor should be fine for this application.
You haven't specified a particular product, Smartkote Safekote can be used on some tiled surfaces by first priming with Smartkote Protectakote Clear Primer Treatment. We would recommend carrying out a trial area as instructed on the product information to ensure adhesion and appearance before carrying out application to the full area.
You would need to remove this failing paint completely and then select a suitable product and primer if required for your substrate and use.
Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) is our recommendation, available in 4,000 colours including Chartwell Green and RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
We also have uPVC Painting Kits with the correct amounts of Kolorbond and preparation products for painting uPVC, PVC, and composite surfaces such as doors and windows, with pack sizes dependant on the scale of the job. These are also available in 2,400+ RAL, NCS, and British Standard colours, including Chartwell Green and RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
We wouldn't recommend this, only a handful of colours can't be produced in CombiColor Satin but if you can advise what colour you speficially want, if it isn't available in CombiColor in a satin finish then we may have another product we can suggest that is.
Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat can be applied on concrete and tarmac surfaces (see product data sheet available to download from the 'Attachments' tab for full details).
Thank you for the additional information, a specification email and quotation has been sent to your email address from our Technical Team. Due to thickness of your timber, the maximum level of fire protection we can offer is 30 minutes + EN Class B s1 d0, BS Class 1/0 Surface Spread of Flame.
Could you please advise what the surface of the walls/ceiling that will be painted are?
Also, can the cold store be brought to normal, ambient room temperatures for application and drying of the product or does it have to stay cold - if so, what temperature?
We have 2 hour solutions with Nullifire FP170 Intucollar Intumescent Pipe Collars, Protecta FR Pipe Wrap, Nullifire FP302 Intustrap/Band and Nullifire FS709 Intumastic HP Intumescent Sealant depending on the site scenario.
Could we please ask for further information to assist further?
Thank you for your enquiry, one of our Technical Team will be in touch shortly to discuss.
Yes, we would recommend Hydron Nu-Guard AG.
We would recommend Smartkote Protectakote UVR.
You would need to check with Wickes/the manufacturer of the levelling compound you intend to purchase to ensure that the product can be left as a wearing course and receive an epoxy floor coating as the final finish. Alternatively you could instead use Rust-Oleum Speed Screed which is compatible with Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield Garage Floor Coating Kit - after curing, the included cleaner should still be used.
We have no specific experience or test data for this application but our best recommendation would be to apply 2 thinned coats of Thermoguard Wallcoat Smoke & Flame Retardant Topcoat Matt in the colour of your choice. We are assuming the curtain is made of a heavy absorbent material and would advise a small test area is carried out first before applying to the whole area.
As you have deduced the Teamac Acrylic Coating would not waterproof your roof in the same way the Rust-Oleum system would. The Rust-Oleum system would be our recommendation with the addition of Rust-Oleum Mathys Dacfill / Dacfill HZ Fleece being used over areas of concern such joints, fixings, etc.
Yes, Rust-Oleum CombiColor Multi-Surface is suitable for application to prepared GRP.
Go to Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Gloss (Water Based) - then click 'Choose a colour'
Unfortunately, we don't have any specific products for this application that we would recommend.
Could you advise which paint you are interested in please?
See our Blog post - Painting the Walls around a Fireplace or Multi Fuel Stove
Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid (Wintergrade) would be suitable for application at this temperature. Sand previous coatings which are in good condition to remove gloss and to roughen the surface slightly. A trial area is advisable to test compatibility with previous coatings.
We don't currently offer any specific automotive paints but many customers use Rust-Oleum CombiColor to paint hobby vehicles by brush, roller or spray.
After your preparation all previously painted/primed surfaces could simply have 2 coats of Teamac Marine Gloss applied to them to freshen up the appearance on a budget. We would approximate 20 litres to carry out the two coats required.
We would suggest Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint.
Rust-Oleum CombiColor would also be an option but it would not fair as well as the primer and marine gloss option previously discussed.
We would need to know which product you were considering to advise on this?
Assuming the new concrete has been allowed at least 30 days to dry. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dust, dirt, curing compounds and other contaminants. You could then apply Rust-Oleum 3366 Epoxy Powerfloat Floor Primer Rapid followed by Rust-Oleum 5300 Epoxyshield Maxx. To apply the required 1 coat of each to 1,000 square feet you would need 10 litres of 3366 and 15 litres of 5300.
Rust-Oleum CombiColor is regularly used by our customers with great success to paint their vehicles by brush and roller but as you say this is not what the product is desinged for. We don't have experience of any of our other products being used for this type of application.
For this we would usually recommend Zinsser B-I-N followed by Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Gloss (Water Based).
Thank you for your enquiry, we would suggest Bradite Rapid for both applications.
Bradite Rapid Floor Paint is a high performance single pack moisture cure polyurethane floor coating recommended for interior concrete, wood or steel floors requiring a tough, quick drying, hard wearing flexible floor coating with good chemical and excellent water resistance. Can be used with Bradite Low Slip Additives SA14 or SA12 to provide additional under foot traction.
Assuming a bare, clean, absorbent concrete surface, apply a 25% thinned priming coat, followed by 2 full coats undiluted. Touch dry in 2 hours, allow 8 hours between coats, ensure a minimum of 24 hours after final coat before allowing light traffic (full cure 7 days).
Download the product data sheet from the 'Attachments' tab for full details on preparation, application, etc.
Based on 280m² you would require;
- 85lt Bradite Rapid
- 7lt Bradite TP33 Polyurethane Thinner
Bradite Low Slip Aggregates if interested.

We would suggest Blackfriar Professional Acrylic Floor Paint which is suitable for timber and comes in a wide ranges of colours including black.
We would suggest Smartkote Protectakote UVR.
You haven't mentioned which product you're looking at in particular but we would normally suggest Hydron Nu-Guard AG for timber which has a clear, semi-matt finish. To ensure it would be suitable for your application we would advise a test area is carried out first.
GacoPro Roof Coating is usually popular for this type of application.
We would recommend Bullet Ready Roof Kit for such a small area, which would be OK for light/occassional foot traffic. If you wish to increase the durability, top coat with Bullet Roof Mono Top. Anti-slip properties can be added by the addition of quartz aggregate if required.
We would suggest considering Coo-Var Floor Sealer.
Bullet Ready Roof Kit would be ideal for this application.
We would recommend Zinsser B-I-N followed by Zinsser Perma-White Interior in the colour and finish of your choice.
We would need to know what product you have purchased to be able to advise. You can contact our Technical Team on 01132455450 (option 2) and they will be able to find your purchase and advise on your queries.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C provides protection up to a dry heat of 750°C (short term peak load) for applications indoors or in a sheltered outdoor environment. It cannot be subject to direct flame contact however.
We would recommend Rust-Oleum 4900 Polycoat 2K.
Unfortunately no samples are available of this product, the only size Teamac Chlorvar Chlorinated Rubber Paint comes in is 5 litres.
Could you advise which product you are enquiring about please?
Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint is suitable to be applied to stone in exterior environments.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C is available in a matt finish only. It is not designed for spay application and cannot be thinned. If you would prefer to spray, it is available in aerosol form.
Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C cannot be thinned for application, Rust-Oleum 7301 CombiColor Thinner is recommended for clean up of spills only.
We would suggest something like Zinsser Perma-White Interior. Before applying Zinsser Perma-White Interior to bare plaster it must first be sealed with a primer e.g. Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3.
Based on 55m² you would need approximately 6 litres of primer, followed by 11 litres of topcoat.
Assuming interior, domestic timber stairs we would suggest Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint.
Assuming you require a paint to apply to the exterior face of the wall we would recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Murfill Waterproofing Coating.
We would suggest Coo-Var Matt Black (Solvent Based).
Could you advise which product you're enquiring about please?
No specific roller is suggested within the information for this product, so a roller suited to the surface you intend to paint and suitable for use with water based, single pack coatings should be fine.
Without more information on where the staircase is situated (i.e. residential, commercial, etc.), internal or external and what level of traffic it is going to recieve we would suggest Smartkote Safekote as strong starting point.
Assuming no direct contact with food or flames we would suggest Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C.
No. Brush, roller or airless spray only.
We would suggest Rust-Oleum Mathys Fillcoat.
Assuming it is the Sika 1 Pre-Bagged Structural Waterproofing System you are referring to for 30m² of walls you would require;
- 15 x 25kg Sika 1 Spritz and Bonding Coat Mortar
- 15 x 25kg Sika 1 Render Mortar
- 15 x 25kg Sika 1 Finishing Mortar
- 1 x 25lt Sika 1 Waterproofer Liquid Admixture
Delivery/Availability
- 3 - 5 Working Days - FREE
- Next Working Day - £55.00 + VAT
We would suggest Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint 750°C.
We would suggest Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Pegarust for application at this time of year.
As a product we would suggest Jotun Demidekk Translucent Woodstain which is available in a range of colours.
Unfortunately not, sorry.
We would recommend Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Gloss (Solvent Based) for low temperature applications. Apply when air and surface temperatures above 5°C and humidity is less than 85%. Do not apply if temperature is likely to fall below 5°C during the drying time.
If you are wanting to do something at this time of year we would recommend considering Rust-Oleum 9700 Coldmax Rapid (Wintergrade). To apply 2 coats to 44m² you would require approximately 10 litres.
We would suggest trying Britannia Aquashield High Build.
Assuming this is a small, domestic project we would recommend Rust-Oleum CombiColor.
We would suggest trialling Thermilate InsOpaint Anti-Condensation Paint in 3 coats to see if this helps your situation.
We are not sure what product you are referring to as 'pro block' but if you wish to paint your OSB shed floor with a solvent based floor paint we would suggest Rust-Oleum 7200 Floorcoat PU. Dilute your first coat with 5% volume Rust-Oleum Thinner 633.
The final finish achieved using intumescent paint is really down to the applicator. Intumescent is usually very thick so we would recommend the paint be left somewhere warm for a period of time before application and it then be mechanically mixed prior to use for best results. Also, applying numerous thinner coats would provide a better finish than thicker coats. Intumescent is usually white and is then protected with a flame retardant topcoat and it's the topcoat that is available in a range of colours.
Sikagard 62 is available in a 5kg pack only with a theoretical coverage rate of 0.3kg/m² per layer.
We recommend Coo-Var Tennis Court & Drive Paint.
Zinsser Watertite would be used externally to prevent efflorescence on the substrate but isn't an exterior waterproofing product.
We would suggest priming the steel with Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion and plastic with Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion and then finish both with Rust-Oleum CombiColor Aerosols
We would suggest Britannia Aquashield High Build for 30m² you would require a minimum of 30kg to apply a single coat to this area.
We would recommend very thorough cleaning to leave a smooth bare surface, any surface rust should be treated with Teamac Rust Converter
Followed by Metaclor Antifouling Primer and Teamac Chlorvar Chlorinated Rubber Paint
Unfortunately we dont have a product which would meet your requirements. The only option we have available would be solid colours paints.
We would recommend on a galvanised garage door to use Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion to primer the surface, then the colour of your choice in Rust-Oleum CombiColor
We would recommend for cracks under 3mm wide Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield Fine Crack Repair
Rust-Oleum CombiColor is available in ALL colours in Gloss or Satin finishes. White and Black are the only colours available in Matt.
Assuming it is the exterior to be painted and an opaque coloured finish is required we would suggest Wethertex OT25 Wood-Flex Satin Opaque Timber Paint
We would suggest Ardenbrite Metallic Paint (Solvent Based) with Ardenbrite Protective Glaze
We would suggest Rust-Oleum 769/780 Damp-Proof Rust Primer followed by Rust-Oleum CombiColor or Rust-Oleum 7500 Alkythane
Carboline Thermaline 4900 is tintable to most RAL and BS colours and is heat resistant up to 230°C.
We would suggest 3 coats of Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Satin (Water Based) - we have it available in dark grey (Anthracite Grey) as standard, or can mix in any RAL, NCS, and British Standard colour.
Yes, Rust-Oleum CombiColor is available in RAL 4011 and 4012 which are both metallic shades of purple.
We have two options for this using Tikkurila products, neither of which are currently on the website. Should you reuqire further information, please contact our Technical Team on 0113 2455450 (option 2).
We would suggest Wethertex AP77 Flexible Smooth Masonry Paint
We recommend Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion for bare ferrous metal surfaces and Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion for bare non-ferrous surfaces, prior to application of Rust-Oleum CombiColor.
We would suggest priming with 1 coat of Bradite Floor Primer and finishing with 2 coats of Bradite Floor-It in the colour of your choice.
Based on 250m² you would require approximately 10 litres of Bradite Floor Primer and 45 litres of Bradite Floor-It.
As a single pack system we would suggest Tikkurila Temaprime EE followed by Tikkurila Temalac ML 90.
As a two pack system we would suggest Tikkurila Temabond ST 200, Tikkurila Temacoat RM 40, Tikkurila Temadur 90.
After thorough cleaning we would suggest Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint.
Coo-Var Anti-Slip Acrylic Floor Paint in clear should help.
Rust-Oleum 5300 Epoxyshield Maxx can be applied in just a single coat over suitably prepared floors.
Teamac Metalastic Black Bituminous - All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. New wood should be sanded prior to coating to ensure an adequate "key" is produced.
Assuming you are looking to apply the paint by brush or roller we can recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde Peganox, this is available in a semi gloss finish.
For spray application we can recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Noxyde.
Both of these paints combine flexibility, strong adhesion, water resistance, excellent edge coverage and anti-corrosive pigments while requiring minimal surface preparation.
We don't have any coatings specifically for bike frames, but assuming the areas to paint are mild steel and not exposed to high temperatures or fuel spills you could try Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original.
Assuming you are only painting the exterior of the guttering for decorative purposes, we can recommend Rust-Oleum 769/780 Damp-Proof Rust Primer.
Zinsser Cover Stain should be applied to any areas of bare wood prior to application of Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Matt (Water Based). This is available in 4,000 RAL, NCS, and British Standard colours, including RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey.
