Hi i am considering purchasing the Rust-olium epoxy garage floor paint kit for my 21 sqmtr floor. I will be using Wicks latex self levelling compound first to iron out the rough concrete finish. Will this be ok? If this is do i still use the etch thats in the kit or is it not needed. Thanks.
You would need to check with Wickes/the manufacturer of the levelling compound you intend to purchase to ensure that the product can be left as a wearing course and receive an epoxy floor coating as the final finish. Alternatively you could instead use Rust-Oleum Speed Screed which is compatible with Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield Garage Floor Coating Kit - after curing, the included cleaner should still be used.
