Good morning, I am looking to find a fire resistant paint for the white mantelpiece on our open fire. The mantelpiece is currently open plaster but none of the paints I can find are suitable for an open fire. Could you please advise if any of your products will be suitable? I can send a photo of the fireplace if that would be easier.
Assuming the plaster mantel piece is not subject direct flame contact, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Tikkurila Muuri.
This is avaialble in a range of colours, in white this paint can withstand temperatures of upto 300°C and upto 180°C for the other tinted colours.
