Need Help?

Hello, I had two heavy wrought iron railing panels made last summer. They were coated then I gave them one coat of hammerite smooth. Within weeks they were rusting so I gave them another two good coats but after 6 moths they are badly rusting already. I had wrought iron on my last house and I could get away with missing at least a year between painting. Can you recommend anything better than what I have tried. Thanks

Assuming the iron railings are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion followed 2 coats of Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original.

All rust must be removed prior to application.

This can be mixed to many RAL, BS or NCS colours in a gloss or satin finish.
