Hi good afternoon. We are after a product that would be suitable to use in Police Custody Cells. It needs to have anti graffiti qualities whilst at the same time having a Matt finish. The reason for the Matt finish as that the glare within the cell could antagonize an inmate within an already volatile area. The areas already have an anti graffiti coating which we are aware will require a light sand so as to act as a key for the new product. The walls will then be decorated in a Matt finish colour prior to the new anti graffiti being applied. Is there a product that you could recommend that would suit the requirements? Kind regards Matt
We would recommend the previously applied anti-graffiti coating is completely removed prior to application of any paint to ensure adhesion.
Once this is done and the walls are painted in the colour you require, the paint is fully cured, the area is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum 4900 Polycoat 2K.
This is available in a matt or gloss finish.
We would recommend testing for compatibility and adhesion prior to full application.
